crustyngrizzly 1,702 Report post Posted April 29, 2020 Would there be any good in using the COVID19 crisis to align the Southern Hemisphere 1/8 season with the NH 1/1. I have no idea myself but thought that while racing around the world looks like changing maybe the breeding season could be looked at. Breeder 609 Report post Posted April 30, 2020 Absolutely not crustyngrizzly. That would interfering with nature. Animals (in this case horses) give birth in spring for a reason --all that new growth to provide the best nutrition for the foal and the mare. Even if it was an option to sync the breeding seasons of both hemispheres I couldn't imagine the "BIG BOYS" (Coolmore, Darley etc) would be happy as it would be the end of Shuttle stallions ans another income stream Breeder
