We're Doomed 4,824 Report post Posted March 28, 2020 I'm sure everyone would be saying NZ Racing is a laughing stock if this happened here, but I notice no one has commented on the two Lindsay Park runners being disqualified from the Bendigo Guineas after their jockeys swapped mounts. rdytdy 5,335 Report post Posted March 28, 2020 Jockeys didn't swap mounts. The two horses were saddled up incorrectly so carried incorrect saddlecloths. It wasn't noticed until after the race by one of the stable staff. JJ Flash

And being the professional operation it is, you can bet the person responsible for this stuff up will be shoveling horse dung for the next month! Peter R S 408 Report post Posted March 29, 2020 Semantics surely - they each rode the wrong horse but it wasn’t their fault, the saddlecloths were put on the wrong horse.

Super professional at punishment then , not saddling horses with right saddle . No harm done , both no hopers in race anyway , the best jock in OZ at moment , the young pom lad couldn't have worked enough magic to get either of them home .
