THIS IS SERIOUS PEOPLE MAKE NO MISTAKE

Recommended Posts

@rdytdy Police, like the Defense Force etc have been told what to do & say by the Director General of Health who is "guided by science" despite the fact the Police are Law Enforcement.

We've seen some great comments by Police about what they personally think of the situation, and it's not favourable to those running the countryside World wide.

There's only so much disruptive behavior & b/s people in general will tolerate.

Police like us also have families & friends who have lost jobs, committed suicide etc.

Add to the mix we've seen some brilliant twitter comments from those connected to those in very influential places in the world.

It may surprise some how annoyed they are to with the fiasco that's been created by the "permanent students" who lack commonsense.

The word "tyranny" has been used by those within the Police that that's what we folk are been subjected to by various Govt officials.

Coronavirus: Why Everyone Was Wrong

The Immune Response to the Virus Is Stronger Than Everyone Thought

This article has been translated from German and was originally published in the Swiss magazine Weltwoche (World Week) on June 10th. The author, Beda M Stadler is the former director of the Institute for Immunology at the University of Bern, a biologist and professor emeritus.

Why everyone was wrong

The coronavirus is slowly retreating. What actually happened in the past few weeks? The experts have missed basic connections. The immune response against the virus is much stronger than we thought.

Beda M Stadler

This is not an accusation, but a ruthless taking stock [of the current situation]. I could slap myself because I looked at Sars-CoV2- way too long with panic. I am also somewhat annoyed with many of my immunology colleagues who so far have left the discussion about COVID-19 to virologist and epidemiologist. I feel it is time to criticise some of the main and completely wrong public statements about this virus.

Firstly, it was wrong to claim that this virus was novel. Secondly, it was even more wrong to claim that the population would not already have some immunity against this virus. Thirdly, it was the crowning of stupidity to claim that someone could have COVID-19 without any symptoms at all or even to pass the disease along without showing any symptoms whatsoever.

But let’s look at this one by one.

1. A new virus?

At the end of 2019 a coronavirus, which was considered novel, was detected in China. When the gene sequence, i.e. the blueprint of this virus, was identified and was given a similar name to the 2002 identified Sars, i.e. Sars-CoV-2, we should have already asked ourselves then how far [this virus] is related to other coronaviruses, which can make human beings sick. But no, instead we discussed from which animal as part of a Chinese menu the virus might have sprung.

In the meantime, however, many more people believe the Chinese were so stupid as to release this virus upon themselves in their own country. Now that we’re talking about developing a vaccine against the virus, we suddenly see studies which show that this so-called novel virus is very strongly related to Sars-1 as well as other beta-coronaviruses which make us suffer every year in the form of colds.

Apart from the pure homologies in the sequence between the various coronaviruses which can make people sick, [scientists] currently work on identifying a number of areas on the virus in the same way as human immune cells identify them. This is no longer about the genetic relationship, but about how our immune system sees this virus, i.e. which parts of other coronaviruses could potentially be used in a vaccine.

So: Sars-Cov-2 isn’t all that new, but merely a seasonal cold virus that mutated and disappears in summer, as all cold viruses do — which is what we’re observing globally right now. Flu viruses mutate significantly more, by the way, and nobody would ever claim that a new flu virus strain was completely novel. Many veterinary doctors were therefore annoyed by this claim of novelty, as they have been vaccinating cats, dogs, pigs, and cows for years against coronaviruses.

2. The fairy tale of no immunity

From the World Health Organisation (WHO) to every Facebook-virologist, everyone claimed this virus was particularly dangerous, because there was no immunity against it, because it was a novel virus. Even Anthony Fauci, the most important advisor to the Trump administration noted at the beginning at every public appearance that the danger of the virus lay in the fact that there was no immunity against it.

Tony and I often sat next to each other at immunology seminars at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda in the US, because we worked in related fields back then. So for a while, I was pretty uncritical of his statements since he was a respected colleague of mine. The penny dropped only when I realised that the first commercially available antibody test [for Sars-CoV-2] was put together from an old antibody test that was meant to detect Sars-1. This kind of test evaluates if there are antibodies in someone’s blood and if they came about through an early fight against the virus. [Scientists] even extracted antibodies from a llama that would detect Sars-1, Sars-CoV-2, and even the Mers virus. It also became known that Sars-CoV-2 had a less significant impact in areas in China where Sars-1 had previously raged. This is clear evidence urgently suggesting that our immune system considers Sars-1 and Sars-Cov-2 at least partially identical and that one virus could probably protect us from the other.

That’s when I realised that the entire world simply claimed that there was no immunity, but in reality, nobody had a test ready to prove such a statement. That wasn’t science, but pure speculation based on a gut feeling that was then parroted by everyone. To this day there isn’t a single antibody test that can describe all possible immunological situations, such as: if someone is immune, since when, what the neutralising antibodies are targeting and how many structures exist on other coronaviruses that can equally lead to immunity.

In mid-April, work was published by the group of Andreas Thiel at the Charité Berlin. A paper with 30 authors, amongst them the virologist Christian Drosten. It showed that in 34% of people in Berlin who had never been in contact with the Sars-CoV-2 virus showed nonetheless T-cell immunity against it (T-cell immunity is a different kind of immune reaction, see below). This means that our T-cells, i.e. white blood cells, detect common structures appearing on Sars-CoV-2 and regular cold viruses and therefore combat both of them.

A study by John P A Ioannidis of Stanford University — according to the Einstein Foundation in Berlin one of the world’s ten most cited scientists — showed that immunity against Sars-Cov-2, measured in the form of antibodies, is much higher than previously thought. Ioannidis is certainly not a conspiracy theorist who just wants to swim against the stream; nonetheless, he is now being criticised because the antibody tests used were not extremely precise. With that, his critics admit that they do not have such tests yet. And as an aside, John P A Ioannidis is such a scientific heavy-weight that all German virologists combined are light-weights in comparison.

3. The failure of modellers

Epidemiologists also fell for the myth that there was no immunity in the population. They also didn’t want to believe that coronaviruses were seasonal cold viruses that would disappear in summer. Otherwise their curve models would have looked differently. When the initial worst case scenarios didn’t come true anywhere, some now still cling to models predicting a second wave. Let’s leave them their hopes — I’ve never seen a scientific branch that manoeuvred itself so much into the offside. I have also not yet understood why epidemiologists were so much more interested in the number of deaths, rather than in the numbers that could be saved.

4. Immunology of common sense

As an immunologist I trust a biological model, namely that of the human organism, which has built a tried and tested, adaptive immune system. At the end of February, driving home from the recording of [a Swiss political TV debate show], I mentioned to Daniel Koch [former head of the Swiss federal section “Communicable Diseases” of the Federal Office of Public Health] that I suspected there was a general immunity in the population against Sars-Cov-2. He argued against my view. I later defended him anyway, when he said that children were not a driving factor in the spread of the pandemic. He suspected that children didn’t have a receptor for the virus, which is of course nonsense. Still, we had to admit that his observations were correct. But the fact that every scientist attacked him afterwards and asked for studies to prove his point, was somewhat ironic.

Nobody asked for studies to prove that people in certain at-risk groups were dying. When the first statistics from China and later worldwide data showed the same trend, that is to say that almost no children under ten years old got sick, everyone should have made the argument that children clearly have to be immune. For every other disease that doesn’t afflict a certain group of people, we would come to the conclusion that that group is immune. When people are sadly dying in a retirement home, but in the same place other pensioners with the same risk factors are left entirely unharmed, we should also conclude that they were presumably immune.

But this common-sense seems to have eluded many, let’s call them “immunity deniers” just for fun. This new breed of deniers had to observe that the majority of people who tested positive for this virus, i.e. the virus was present in their throats, did not get sick. The term “silent carriers” was conjured out of a hat and it was claimed that one could be sick without having symptoms. Wouldn’t that be something! If this principle from now on gets naturalised into the realm of medicine, health insurers would really have a problem, but also teachers whose students could now claim to have whatever disease to skip school, if at the end of the day one didn’t need symptoms anymore to be sick.

The next joke that some virologists shared was the claim that those who were sick without symptoms could still spread the virus to other people. The “healthy” sick would have so much of the virus in their throats that a normal conversation between two people would be enough for the “healthy one” to infect the other healthy one. At this point we have to dissect what is happening here: If a virus is growing anywhere in the body, also in the throat, it means that human cells decease. When [human] cells decease, the immune system is alerted immediately and an infection is caused.

One of the five cardinal symptoms of an infection is pain. It is understandable that those afflicted by COVID-19 might not remember that initial scratchy throat and then go on to claim that they didn’t have any symptoms just a few days ago. But for doctors and virologists to twist this into a story of “healthy” sick people, which stokes panic and was often given as a reason for stricter lockdown measures, just shows how bad the joke really is. At least the WHO didn’t accept the claim of asymptomatic infections and even challenges this claim on its website.

Here a succinct and brief summary, especially for the immunity deniers, of how humans are attacked by germs and how we react to them: If there are pathogenic viruses in our environment, then all humans — whether immune or not — are attacked by this virus. If someone is immune, the battle with the virus begins. First we try to prevent the virus from binding to our own cells with the help of antibodies. This normally works only partially, not all are blocked and some viruses will attach to the appropriate cells. That doesn’t need to lead to symptoms, but it’s also not a disease. Because the second guard of the immune system is now called into action. That’s the above mentioned T-cells, white blood cells, which can determine from the outside in which other cells the virus is now hiding to multiply. These cells, which are now incubating the virus, are searched throughout the entire body and killed by the T-cells until the last virus is dead.

So if we do a PCR corona test on an immune person, it is not a virus that is detected, but a small shattered part of the viral genome. The test comes back positive for as long as there are tiny shattered parts of the virus left. Correct: Even if the infectious viruses are long dead, a corona test can come back positive, because the PCR method multiplies even a tiny fraction of the viral genetic material enough [to be detected]. That’s exactly what happened when there was the global news, even shared by the WHO, that 200 Koreans who already went through COVID-19 were infected a second time and that there was therefore probably no immunity against this virus. The explanation of what really happened and an apology came only later, when it was clear that the immune Koreans were perfectly healthy and only had a short battle with the virus. The crux was that the virus debris registered with the overly sensitive test and therefore came back as “positive”. It is likely that a large number of the daily reported infection numbers are purely due to viral debris.

The PCR test with its extreme sensitivity was initially perfect to find out where the virus could be. But this test can not identify whether the virus is still alive, i.e. still infectous. Unfortunately, this also led some virologists to equate the strength of a test result with viral load, i.e. the amount of virus someone can breathe out. Luckily, our day care centres stayed open nontheless. Since German virologist missed that part, because, out of principle, they do not look at what other countries are doing, even if other countries’ case numbers are falling more rapidly.

5. The problem with corona immunity

What does this all mean in real life? The extremely long incubation time of two to 14 days — and reports of 22 to 27 days — should wake up any immunologist. As well as the claim that most patients would no longer secrete the virus after five days. Both [claims] in turn actually lead to the conclusion that there is — sort of in the background — a base immunity that contorts the events, compared to an expected cycle [of a viral infection] — i.e. leads to a long incubation period and quick immunity. This immunity also seems to be the problem for patients with a severe course of the disease. Our antibody titre, i.e. the accuracy of our defence system, is reduced the older we get. But also people with a bad diet or who are malnourished may have a weakened immune system, which is why this virus does not only reveal the medical problems of a country, but also social issues.

If an infected person does not have enough antibodies, i.e. a weak immune response, the virus slowly spreads out across the entire body. Now that there are not enough antibodies, there is only the second, supporting leg of our immune response left: The T-cells begin to attack the virus-infested cells all over the body. This can lead to an exaggerated immune response, basically to a massive slaughter; this is called a Cytokine Storm. Very rarely this can also happen in small children, in that case called Kawasaki Syndrome. This very rare occurrence in children was also used in our country to stoke panic. It’s interesting, however, that this syndrome is very easily cured. The [affected] children get antibodies from healthy blood donors, i.e. people who went through coronavirus colds. This means that the hushed-up [supposedly non-existent] immunity in the population is in fact used therapeutically.

What now?

The virus is gone for now. It will probably come back in winter, but it won’t be a second wave, but just a cold. Those young and healthy people who currently walk around with a mask on their faces would be better off wearing a helmet instead, because the risk of something falling on their head is greater than that of getting a serious case of COVID-19.

If we observe a significant rise in infections in 14 days [after the Swiss relaxed the lockdown], we’d at least know that one of the measures was useful. Other than that I recommend reading John P A Ioannidis’ latest work in which he describes the global situation based on data on May 1st 2020: People below 65 years old make up only 0.6 to 2.6 % of all fatal Covid cases. To get on top of the pandemic, we need a strategy merely concentrating on the protection of at-risk people over 65. If that’s the opinion of a top expert, a second lockdown is simply a no-go.

On our way back to normal, it would be good for us citizens if a few scaremongers apologised. Such as doctors who wanted a triage of over 80-year-old COVID patients in order to stop ventilating them. Also media that kept showing alarmist videos of Italian hospitals to illustrate a situation that as such didn’t exist. All politicians calling for “testing, testing, testing” without even knowing what the test actually measures. And the federal government for an app they’ll never get to work and will warn me if someone near me is positive, even if they’re not infectious.

In winter, when the flu and other colds make the rounds again, we can then go back to kissing each other a little less, and we should wash our hands even without a virus present. And people who’ll get sick nonetheless can then don their masks to show others what they have learned from this pandemic. And if we still haven’t learned to protect our at-risk groups, we’ll have to wait for a vaccine that will hopefully also be effective in at-risk people.

Just think how depressing it would for the rest of the world if they found out that this was all about the 2020 US elections. But maybe it's all about vaccine profits and control. Or all of the above - never let a crisis go to waste

Interesting comments you make about "Planned Parenthood" @100 1

Looked up "Planned Parenthood" in our National Library's Papers Past archives, came about in 1940's and has reference to 1976....Well worth a read & joining Timelines of world events, university activists & who had power & control trips in the wider world.

Did I mention 1976???

That was around 30 yrs after Planned Parenthood, WWar 2 & other events.

Look up what was going in in that era with UN , WHO & others...and the changes within Europe in recent years - the loss of each countries "heritage" & identity with the now one currency of the Euro..

Why have they used "Civil Emergency Acts" and taken a "blanket approach" to address a Coronavirus?

They cant inject these experimental vaccines into those most prone to dying from it because they are immunocompromised . So they will innoculate those who dont need it 🤔 Makes perfect sense 😆 How thick are we? Every Epidemiologist on the earth knows masks dont work, Bloomfield said so and Fauci even stated they are only a ‘symbol’ yet governments are still advocating their use?  A ‘dry cough’ spreads the virions from an infected person , and these are hard to see under an electron microscope...a mask under an electron microscope looks like a fishing  net...so why are some of those taking swabs from people with Flu like symptoms in Cars wearing them without Full Face visors at the very  least, not to mention Security guards at isloation facilities ... 🙄

This is how frontline workers should look

The PM and Hipkins repeatedly tell us the only source of truth for this virus issue is the Government announcements. Well here is official Government information that refutes that BS we hear from both of them. It is a response to an OIA request.

Financially very serious for many ,  just watched  LJM on the news tonight  it seems his business won't last much longer unless business returns fairly quickly , he mentioned staff have been told of what is likely to happen , ( i think 11 sept ? don't quote me ) the bottom line is these problems must be wide spread amongst many businesses .

The question is how long can the economy  last operating on borrowed money , this virus could be around for years , the BORROWED $50 billion is disappearing quickly ,  we still have 1.2milion on the wage subsidy  , this is unstainable .

Any ones guess what the future holds for all of us , I've never seen anything like this before , the potential for a huge drop in our standard of living is very real , how can we handle situations like this in the future , an example .

" In the last, publicly released DHB finance performance report, for the nine months to 31 March 2020, Canterbury DHB's budgeted deficit was $180.4 million. It was forecasting at that time for the final deficit to be $175 million –"

The Government Doesn’t Seem to Realise Business Reality Makes Our Elimination Strategy Untenable

The Young and Healthy Must Be Allowed to Get on With Their Lives and to Provide for the Country.

By Jeremy Harris

Last Tuesday morning I had a very difficult conversation with my staff. With tears in my eyes, I told them that due to the likely renewed lockdown there was a good likelihood I would eventually have to let some of them go. These are young people with responsibilities and the same problems we all have, problems that will be exacerbated by losing employment. I worry about what will happen to them.

You see, I love my business and the team that works in it, almost as much as I love my family. I view the business as a painting, and the team as fellow artists working together to create something beautiful. It’s corny I know, but a lot of business people feel this way. It is why we work crazy hours when we probably should just get jobs instead. The really great small business is about more than the bottom line; it’s the place we make new friends, provide for ourselves and our families, and for a lucky few who pick the right job, live out our dreams.

At repeated press conferences I have heard the Prime Minister say that after the reemergence of this virus, that the best thing for business is that the virus is stamped out quickly and we can return to lower levels. I find myself wondering who on earth can possibly be advising her of this?

We have a market economy; our productivity and increases in living standard are driven by a process of creative destruction. The destruction comes from competition, which drives innovation and causes us to use resources more efficiently. The creation comes from investment, expanding capacity and trying new ideas that require capital. With the confirmation from the government that we are going to be hurled into lockdowns every time there are new cases of community transmission the creative part of this process will cease. No business person in their right mind will be investing capital in expanding capacity or new ideas, the creation part, they will instead invest their energy and ideas into trying to use what they have more efficiently or, the destruction part. This process of destruction will go into overdrive as demand craters as well. Unemployment will skyrocket as new jobs dry up and old ones are destroyed.

We don’t expect our public health officials to understand this, it’s not their job, but we do expect our politicians to have some inkling, and to take it into account when making decisions. The scary thing for business is that our current decision-makers do not understand this at all.

Continuing to chase elimination makes no sense given that the future looms as one of continual lockdowns until the country collapses economically via repeated cycles of closure and reopening while waiting for a vaccine that may never be coming and will not save us when it does.

Europe and increasingly America are in the final stages of their epidemics. In a few months’ time their lives will return to normal and their actual recovery will begin. We will be stuck in limbo, closed off from the world and forced to repeatedly thrash our ability to sustain ourselves every time there is a breach of the border, mounting up debt upon debt till we are completely uncredit worthy, with an exodus of talent that makes past brain drains pale in comparison.

Lockdowns are increasing being shown to be unethical globally. Poland, Norway, Denmark, France and other countries have sworn them off as mistakes that cost exponentially more years of life than they save. It is important to remember that GDP and health have a direct causal relationship. If we go into a national depression which this most recent decision makes likely, it will result in millions of years of life lost by all New Zealanders as opposed by the thousands of years of lives that may be lost to the virus.

The lives and years lost due to economic decline are not as visible as those due to COVID-19. They are the 22-year-old who loses his job today and cannot find a new one for a few years, starts to have problems with alcohol, and dies of liver disease at 55, instead of having a healthy family life and living to 75. It is the 45-year-old Mum who needs a cancer drug in 10 years’ time that PHARMAC now cannot afford because we are forced into austerity due to trashing our national debt today. And so she dies when she could have had 30 more years with her family. These precious years of life count just as much as those that COVID-19 will take, and will outnumber the virus’s threat at least 100 to 1. (By the way that is a government estimate – not mine). Eventually, reality will force us to make the hard decision we should be making now.

To anyone thinking rationally, these facts mean that elimination is now untenable. The young and healthy must be allowed to get on with their lives and to provide for the country.

@tripple alliance the epidemiologists, including Mike G Baker, Nick Wilson & Tony Blakely , the scientists who wrote an open letter to all the politicians not to scaremonger & then the ones who wrote an open letter to, from memory WHO, calling for compulsory wearing of masks who are calling the shots who must be held to account. They are the one's "advising" the Gvt who are so stupid to follow their advise despite the fact much of it wouldn't stand up in law.

All this carry on tracks back to Professor Neil Ferguson, Imperial College London modelling & SAGE group UK papers.

NZ has had a close working relationship with Imperial College UK since the early 1900's

I can't emphasis these facts enough.

It's time a few emails were disclosed that belong to these academics who have been scamming the world, including for funds without been held to account, firstly with Mad Cow disease in the UK, swine flu in Mexico, Avian flu etc.

All their papers & history are online where the aforenamed link back & are enterwined & where vast sums of public funds have been used without any accountability.

Look their names up with the "diseases" they have found, or should that be created & "gas lighted" to see where I keep trying to get the msg through here in NZ.

E.g Neil Ferguson Mad Cow disease - he at one stage confused sheep with cows such is how incompetent he is.

The all must be held to account.

In addition, note in that 2006 Avian Flu & Air Travel Paper of Baker, Wilson etc which was published in BMJ that  it's exactly the same 4 symptoms used to check travellers for Avian Flu that are used to detect Covid19...

It would pay to cross reference if the same nasal swab & tests are the same....

On the surface it appears as if Baker, Wilson & co target tourists & the very people who keep our economy alive & perhaps there's underlying issues they have that they don't like people of other races.

Baker & Phil Tywford go back together in the 1980's Rainbow Warrior anti French era of people to, despite the fact that incident didn't involve the majority of French people.

2006 was an era that International travel with Language School students boomed, early 2000's NZ had a good working relationship & did very well financially with the Japanese market.

Plandemic is made by a discredited filmmaker using a TOTALLY discredited doctor who is also a liar and a thief. The Doctor, and I use that term loosely, has since admitted to lying, and even the filmmaker admits its fair to call the piece "propaganda"  your so gullible 100 1, you're so gullible

The video promotes the conspiracist claim that vaccines are "a money-making enterprise that causes medical harm".[9] It takes the form of an interview between Willis and Mikovits in which Mikovits makes numerous unsupported or false claims around coronavirus, and her own controversial history.[3] Fact-checker PolitiFact highlighted eight false or misleading claims made in the video, including:[3]

  • That Mikovits was held in jail without charge. Mikovits was briefly held on remand after an accusation of theft from her former employer, the Whittemore Peterson Institute, but charges were dropped. There is no evidence to support her claim that notebooks removed from the Institute were "planted" or that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and its director Anthony Fauci bribed investigators.[3] When asked, both Mikovits and Willis admitted that it was an error to say she had not been charged, and in fact she had meant to say that the charges were dropped, Mikovits saying that "I've been confused for a decade" and that in future she would try to be more clear when she talks about the criminal charge ("I'll try to learn to say it differently.").[17]
  • That the virus was manipulated. An article in Nature analyses the likely origins and finds that "Our analyses clearly show that SARS-CoV-2 is not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus".[18]
  • That the virus occurred from SARS-1 within a decade, and this is inconsistent with natural causes. This is incorrect: SARS-CoV-2 is similar but not directly descended from SARS-CoV (SARS-1), with only 79% genetic similarity.[19]
  • That hospitals receive $13,000 from Medicare if they "call it COVID-19" when a patient dies. This claim, which had previously been made on The American Spectator and WorldNetDaily,[20] was rated "half true" by PolitiFact[21] and Snopes:[22]payments are made, but the amount is open to dispute, and there is no evidence that this influences diagnosis, and in fact the evidence suggests that COVID-19 is, if anything, under-diagnosed.[23]
  • That hydroxychloroquine is "effective against these families of viruses". This claim originates with work by Didier Raoult, which has subsequently received a "statement of concern" from the editors of the journal in which it was published.[24][25]The first randomized controlled trial to evaluate the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19 found no evidence of benefit and some evidence of harm.[26][27] The NIH says that there is insufficient evidence to recommend for or against this use.[28] As of May 7, 2020, other bodies were running additional controlled trials to investigate hydroxychloroquine's safety and efficacy.[3]:1
  • That flu vaccines increase the chance of contracting COVID-19 by 36%. This claim is false.[29][30] The claim misinterprets a disputed article that studied the 2017—2018 influenza season, predating the COVID-19 pandemic. The claim that the flu vaccine increases the chance of contracting COVID-19 does not appear in the original article at all. The author (Greg G. Wolff) wrote that coronavirus cases increased from 5.8% (non-vaccinated) to 7.8% (vaccinated) with odds ratio of 1.36, with (1.14, 1.63) 95% confidence interval, and the article highlight said: "Vaccinated personnel did not have significant odds of respiratory illnesses."[31] The article was referring to seasonal coronaviruses (common cold), but COVID-19 was added by the website disabledveterans.org.[30]
  • That "If you've ever had a flu vaccine, you were injected with coronaviruses". This has also been debunked,[32][33][7] the flu shot contains no coronaviruses.[34]
  • That "Wearing the mask literally activates your own virus. You're getting sick from your own reactivated coronavirus expressions." This claim is unsupported by evidence. Masks prevent airborne transmission of the virus, especially during the asymptomatic period (up to 14 days), when carriers may not even be aware they have the disease,[7][35] and a virus may be de-activated, but cannot add to one's infection level, if it leaves the body even temporarily.[36]

Mikovits also alludes to a number of conspiracy theories which claim Bill Gates is implicated in causing the pandemic in order to profit from an eventual vaccine,[9] and makes false and unsupported claims that beaches should remain open, as "healing microbes in the saltwater" and "sequences" in the sand can "protect against the coronavirus".[9] The video claims that the numbers of COVID-19 deaths are purposely being misreported in an effort to control people.[37]

Willis' previous credits include numerous conspiracy theorist videos, as well as cinematography on Neurons to Nirvana, a film that makes therapeutic claims about psychedelic drugs.[3]

Reception

Scientists, medical doctors and public health experts condemned the film for promoting misinformation and "a hodgepodge of conspiracy theories".[11][38][39][40] Physician and comedian Zubin Damania wrote in his commentary: "Don't waste your time watching it. Don't waste your time sharing it. Don't waste your time talking about it. I can’t believe I'm wasting my time doing this. But I just want to stop getting messages about it."[41]

Accelerated Urgent Care, whose discredited[42] press conference statements by co-owners Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi were utilized in the video, released an official statement disagreeing with the video's agenda and claiming that the company never gave permission to Willis to utilize their video.[43]

Science journalist Tara Haelle described the video as propaganda and posited that the video "has been extremely successful at promoting misinformation for three reasons":

  1. it "taps into people's uncertainty, anxiety and need for answers";
  2. it "is packaged very professionally and uses common conventions people already associate with factual documentaries"
  3. it effectively exploits various methods of persuasion, including the use of a seemingly trustworthy and sympathetic narrator, appeals to emotion, the Gish gallop, and "sciencey" images.[44]

Willis stated that propaganda was a fair description of the film.[17]

Zarine Kharazian, assistant editor of the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, described the response to the removal of the video from Facebook and YouTube as a "censorship backfire", invoking the Streisand effect.[45]

I've watched it. Well made, and it taps into those that are completely gullible, like yourself. The subject matter sounds believable, but a little research (like her admitting she's been "confused for a decade" and admitting to lying in the doco) means she is FAR FROM CREDIBLE. You remember research 100 1? You're always telling us to do our own research. And your argument that EVERYTHING that you disagree with - which is pretty much everything - is FAKE, is just not credible either, sorry. That's ALL you have, DENIAL. You really are a pathetic specimen.

And you believed them then and it was proven a lie.
