This self entitlement that these people think they are better than us and they are looking after themselves .Not like all the thousands of families that have lost their jobs  .Look how that worked out for the NRL  and that tosser Cameron George ,played the big I am and we are going to play on  ,we're staying in Aussie everyone loves us yeah right . Look how that turned out.Steve Kearney blubbering he can't be with his family .What goes round comes round remember that Bernard . Just a thought how long will big time Cameron George last with the Warriors before he runs . Cheers BH

"Some trainers have thrown their horses out and others would like to continue to exercise their horse, we have made that possible".  This is where people will take advantage of a situation the whole country is in.  NZTR have said racing clubs do not have to open if they do not believe it is necessary for horse welfare.

Bernard is definitely very approachable, and this landscape changes may give him a real opportunity to make a mark.

To be honest I think we should all be scared as the Jehovah Witnesses know the whole country is at home.  If they get the "Essential Business" classification like horse trainers.....

Cambridge track closed now too.  Good work.  We are all in this together NZ.

Some folk seem to be in it more than others e.g. those working like slaves in difficult conditions.

Especially the Supermarket checkout workers and others on close to the Minimum wage....away from families , working with many loose canons and getting abused at same time.Meanwhile many of us locked down at home ,still getting paid for sitting on our arses watching TV and drinking beer !

Im very pleased our racehorses are allowed to be regularly fed ,checked on and given some exercise...pleased they just not pointed to the hills and slapped across the arse.

I know its hindsight ,the only exact science , but take a peek at Facebook Vlog by Andy Boredom ,a kiwi who visited NZ from Shanghai.

Incredible that NZ puts more effort and $$ into the fruit fly and white butterfly !!!!!

Totally agree re supermarket workers etc.  That is why all non essentials need to stop so that this sh1t  ends quickly.

I was talking to Tony Gollan today (Qld’s leading Trainer) because we’ve got one nominated for Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast this weekend. He nominated for both just in case the barriers were unkind and also he’s not certain if Racing will continue for much longer due to changing circumstances almost daily. NSW and Vic are suspended until further notice and if one QLd Jockey or Trainer or stable hand turns a positive to Corvid-19 it will be kaput! But maybe Insider knows a bit more? After all she is the guru.

I guess being an essential worker keeps you in your routine, rather than being in total lockdown, although the supermarket workers should be given a wee bonus, as they are effectively putting their life on the line, so the rest can survive.

My understanding is that Ministry of Primary Industries view is that racing stables and agistment farms are considered ‘essential services’. This will mean that horses can remain in training ahead of the resumption of racing.

The stable of G Richardson, located in Matamata, is closed for 1 month."Safety of his staff and his family"
