Question on Jesse Duke when he was with Purdon

How good was he because he had 2 monster qualifiers, went off at 3/5 odds and came home like a "Hurricane" according to the announcer, Dexter just turned him loose and never pulled the whip. He flew home. I've been telling some of these idiots over here that Purdon has like 5 or 6 that are better than him, AM I right

All different ages but I would say on NZ runs you would be right

I stand to be corrected but Self Assured looks like he would be a good 10 lengths better than Jesse Duke

Then there was Ultimate Sniper plus his older Ooen Class horses

If Lazarus was a brnchmsrk I’m predicting Self Assured will be the one to match his achievements, unless the standing start trips him up at Cup time

He does have better performed ones here. Some horses go to the states and don’t perform as well as they did here and others seem to go to a whole new level eg Bit of a Legend.  So hard to compare really.

Any news on Bettor Joy Tim?   I see she was scratched sick last week.  Hope it’s nothing serious.

Yes I watched the race online Tim.  Thought she was a bit disappointing but we need to cut her some slack as she had been sick and not raced for 3 weeks.   Went her last qrt in 27.1.  When she is right she can run home in 26 no problem.   Also I wonder if trainer is slowly working her toward peaking for the Matchmaker series which must be coming up soon
