I am dismayed at the tone and rhetoric of this report.

After orchestrating the removal of the NZRB board and replacing it with one of their own as Chair they now seem at odds with the proposed legislation.

Unless there is general agreement on the changes particularly any new governance model the whole process is too rushed and needs to be widely debated before we end up in a worse position than we are now.

Even the appointment criteria to the board of NZ Tab is so similar to the current model that it is bound to fail.

The restrictions on distributions unworkable.

There has been very little detail about expected outcomes of the changes and certainly no cost benefit analysis of the changes.

The AWT at Cambridge is a good example of things just happening with no information being given to the general public.

The article Guerin wrote with quotes and answers from the Saundry differs alarmingly from the one Guerin just wrote with quotes from track manager . Saundry pushed it as a racetrack track manager states first and foremost a training track . This is not a good look for tax dollars the change in story . Surely any journo should pick up this obvious inconsistency in two reports . Maybe even the guy who wrote it . Racing needs to be very very careful when it's at the teat of the taxpayer.

Saundry, Jackson & Carter are for all intents and purposes are at war with RITA.

This is a struggle for survival.....the dinasours who’ve done nothing useful are fighting for their continued existence, and they’re doing it very mischeviously too

It’s rather hard to drag a pig from a trough in my experience

Im not at all sure that DM is one of their mob or was  put in the Chair position by them. There may have been some bad blood after the way he was let go after he took over the CEO position at Addington. That said he is probably way above all that sort of behaviour given his constant success as a racing administrator and academic record.

Sure is Greg, and is likely to be there for some time which can only be good for NZ Racing. Guess we’ll see.....
