eljay 1,711 Report post Posted December 13, 2019 Staggering isn't it? NO Pick 6 tonight on arguably the top carnival of the Harness Racing Year!! But I suppose that is understandable from an outfit that has no idea of what they are supposedly running.
Patiti 274 Report post Posted December 13, 2019 Still limited to one Pick6 a day even with the new platform. Cant presell either due to that limitation.

The marketing and promotions from the TAB seems all over the place.......goes from one thing to the next. If the department is confused ,little wonder the customer is confused.......KPI's must be changing all the time at 'Head Office'. For some time the goal seemed to be to meet KPI's in regard to increasing account holders and getting them to be active e.g. with big sport events they reward 'new' accounts then give free bets to get accounts active.....dead cat bounce perhaps ! Then its money back specials ,or bonus bets etc. It wears off quick.....as events are constantly changing. But its noticeable that some is mickey mouse /last minute stuff .like racing around on race night giving staff an A4 sheet of paper with latest promo on it.or slapping up something temporay. Like winking in the dark.....you know what you doing ,nobody else does. Is a pick 6 a game changer ? It needs a big carrot ! Carrot bag maybe shrinking ! It hasn't offshore which is why the NZTAB is by all accounts clawing back some of its many lost accounts with its Bonus bets attractions. eljay 1,711 Report post Posted December 14, 2019 They appear to be trying to phase out the old tried & true tote thereby allowing them a greater percentage through new exotics. Blatant example pay place back to 4th with fixed odds but only back to 3rd for tote.
Pickel 45 Report post Posted December 14, 2019 (edited) This thread is almost as stupid as the one that suggested W Waterhouse was anything other than. Last night one Quaddie paid $4 and the other $11 - and they were for a $1 unit. Pick6 is for 50c so would’ve paid less than $6. When you’re running processions instead of races no bet type in the world is going to help. Edited December 14, 2019 by scooby3051 Show respect for the deceased. eljay 1,711 Report post Posted December 14, 2019 So you want in/place wiped too. And - well all betting as bet returns (if you in fact won) would not have even been petty cash. I will hold my tongue

If someone hadn't said they were on, wouldn't have known....no drawcards like the old days. What were ATC doing....?? tim vince 985 Report post Posted December 15, 2019 Not a lot but to be fair decent turnouts and good facilities so they did okay.lots of faces not seen for years which was great.gr8 atmosphere but problem is how many come on a regular basis.how 're we get them back.it is very hard to promote week after week.most I talked to were more likely to return if if was Saturday night.auckland traffic.in the old days on Fridays many would go home from work and then come to the park.traffic stops that.so how about Saturday nights returning.they definitely deserved 7.5 out of 100. eljay 1,711 Report post Posted December 15, 2019 Don't know when I last wore a suit Tim - must be over 20 years ago. Don't even own one now - I think the last one got riddled with mildew and ended it's life in a fiery ball on the back lawn
