Dockers 200 Report post Posted December 6, 2019 Usually deposit as much as I want from my credit union account and for some reason couldnt in last week. Rang them today and they said maximum deposit for online gambling is $50 because of fraud and money laundry activites. The worlds gone mad . I wonder if banks will follow. Eclipsed 245 Report post Posted January 14, 2020 hmmm Gambling companies will be banned from allowing customers in the UK to use credit cards to bet in a bid to protect consumers and improve the sector's image. The ban, which starts on April 14, comes after reviews of the industry by the Gambling Commission – the sector's watchdog – and the Government. Major betting companies such as Bet365, Betfair and 888 all allow customers to place deposits online using credit cards, which has led to warnings from campaigners that gamblers risk racking up big debts and falling into addiction. I think this is a fair step. I battle with the $1k level here for AML, especially when it can be reached with a $10 bet on a 100/1 shot. But stopping credit card punting is probably the correct ethical stance.
