Mikie 326 Report post Posted December 3, 2019 Hi All I’m not a huge fan of the 1700m Heats of the InterDominions, I know it provides variety but it just doesn’t float my boat However, what a run from Ultimate Sniper again. From the Heats so far only AG’s White Socks looks like giving him a run for his money My early prediction of an Aussie win is miles out, only confirms that I’m a nil tipster Mikie

Blue 1,099 Report post Posted December 3, 2019 Sniper huge again. The Fixer being nursed to be right at the right time and Winterfell pretty good too without being pushed.
eljay 1,720 Report post Posted December 3, 2019 Friday night will sort out the chaff from the wheat - a few will be feeling the pinch from the concentrated racing at full tilt and of course Friday will decide the finalists. Some will be able to cruise a little but some who well down the table will need another gut buster to make the finals. Draws could be all important, also make up of the heats. I suppose we will see equal split of horses from the big stables in each heat but whether by doing this will mean they get all into the final and what this does interest-wise remains to be seen. Let's hope the points tables will be released a little faster than they were after the first round.
sixgoalhero 1 Report post Posted December 3, 2019 Missed tonight's racing and just watched the replays. Snipers run was huge but Purdon handing up the breeze to the stablemate inside the last 500 was interesting. If he kicks up and keeps his only danger 3 wide then i dont think sniper could have won the race. Is this kind of driving always allowed in NZ? Think stewards would be all over it in Aus. Mark Purdon was questioned and Stewards have adjourned an enquiry into that incident - who hands up the parked position at the 600 metre stage when everything is sprinting for home? Missed the win by a head ..... the excuse will be interesting. sixgoalhero
frankie 119 Report post Posted December 3, 2019 Certain stables have got away with obvious team driving for years. It's not an even playing field and the stipes in my opinion are morons. sixgoalhero and 47South

With both these top horses in your team and both are very good, you play to get the best result and handing up for a cart to the line was good thinking. Just missed though, the winner is going great so why would you park him and kill your own chance hsvman
