puha 2,177 Report post Posted December 1, 2019 Looking forward to the new edition this week .I heard it won’t have Thursday’s meeting in it which is a negative for CD racing as that’s generally their racing slot. Can someone explain why they can’t be in the book as the Thursday fields are out before the weekends meetings?Must be a simple explanation. slam dunk 1,317 Report post Posted December 4, 2019 They have picked an interesting week. With 8 gallops meetings carded over 4 days it must be 30 years since so many were programmed over such a condensed period.
premixer 105 Report post Posted December 4, 2019 Is there a list of retailers available? Or is it just TAB's for a start?

You have more chance of purchasing it from a Dairy as there are only a couple of T.A.B."s left in Auckland porky and ivanthegreat 1
mooseman 807 Report post Posted December 4, 2019 I welcome Raceform into the non competitive racebook market, The informant went to the pack when they changed there easy read format, the best bets ...you have to cut the book in half just to turn pages and very back and forth data at the bottom of the horse....yet again non user friendly. The T.A.B downloadable booklets are magic....I download to usb take to my print shop and wam o, Hope Raceform has some trackwork

puha 2,177 Report post Posted December 4, 2019 Wouldn’t be hard to stock in all Paper plus shops BP petrol stations and manned TAB would cover most places .
Blue 1,095 Report post Posted December 4, 2019 Correct Puha BUT if you've had anything to do with publications and distribution this can be labour intensive and costly showering it out all over the place especially for a dwindling market which means costs go up for the few who do want it. Service comes at a price unfortunately but still keen to see the finished product and how it progresses. puha

NeilD 160 Report post Posted December 4, 2019 Went down to our local Papamoa TAB on Wednesday to prepay for one and joined the list of about a dozen, so hope they get enough to them. Looking forward to it. Racing needs this so hope RITA gets right in behind them and gets them what they need. shaneMcAlister
gubellini 3,995 Report post Posted December 4, 2019 Went into my local TAB this morning to buy the initial Raceform. Not at all surprised that nationwide it won’t be available till tomorrow morning. Not a very auspicious start to this much touted publication.
gubellini 3,995 Report post Posted December 5, 2019 RITA and Raceform Publications have stated that the first issue of Raceform would be available today December 5. Clearly they have failed to deliver. I have no doubt that front line TAB workers will be subject to unfair abuse because of this fiasco. Just another example of how dysfunctional NZ Racing is. Can’t wait for the old canard of Courier problems to be trotted out. Nearco
slam dunk 1,317 Report post Posted December 5, 2019 Hope they duplicate the old NZ Truth style format. i.e, small profiles from various track watchers around the country. Trying to duplicate computer raceform with a retail shelf llfe of only a few days is economic madness.

None of it ever worth a tin of shit. Get yourself down to the Papamoa Bowling Club and do something meaningful with your day. tasman man 11
gubellini 3,995 Report post Posted December 5, 2019 Toblerone thanks for your reply. I am indeed doing something meaningful with my day. Visiting an elderly friend with chronic health problems. FYI the Manager of my Local TAB has already been subjected to a torrent of abuse. Not from me I can assure you! dock leaf

gubellini 3,995 Report post Posted December 5, 2019 Boss Hogg I like your style. Poor old Toblerone must be having a bad day on the bowling greens at Papamoa. Most of my recent posts have been jockeys or horse histories. Toblerone thinks that all the information I provide is not worth a tin of shit. Fair enough!
