eljay 1,711 Report post Posted November 17, 2019 It happens all the time - everyone knows Paul is a master preparer of squares but around comes the big races and once again all his charges are forgotten in the glam of the big stables. And I'm sure Paul is quite happy with that. Well done Master! Iraklis and JJ Flash
Iraklis 2,203 Report post Posted November 17, 2019 True Eljay, true! when the gun goofed off (OscarB) and Marcoola got the stitch, I was watchin for Habibi (he was lurkin) and boom there he was I've never bin so pleased to see the big fulla hit the front cos the aussie was lurkin too, but it was the way he did it cheezuz. I was big fan of Habibti, so when this fella came on the scene I started to watch him comin through the ranks..... What it does prove again though, and don't get me wrong love the AllStars, and against all those doom and gloomers, AllStars are beatable! eljay 1,711 Report post Posted November 17, 2019 They just didn't seem to be their usual "invincible" selves over this carnival. Sure they got plenty but were seldom a factor in the "other" races Iraklis

eljay 1,711 Report post Posted November 18, 2019 In particular - what new rule?
JJ Flash 2,115 Report post Posted November 18, 2019 1 hour ago, eljay said: In particular - what new rule? It might be this one given his previous thoughts on the matter. Mind you he is not alone. Manipulation of Blood and Blood Components 1004K(1)A person shall not directly or indirectly:(a)withdraw blood from any horse for thepurpose of manipulating the blood; or(b)administer to, reinfuse or reintroduce into a horse any homologous, allogenic(heterologous), or autologous blood, blood products, or blood cells of anyorigin. (2)Sub-rule (1) isnot contravened when the act is undertaken by a veterinarian:(a)for life-saving purposes;(b)for veterinary regenerative therapies for the treatment ofmusculoskeletalinjury or disease; or(c)for veterinary treatment of respiratory bleeding by nebulizer or similar device. (3)If sub-rule (1) is contravened, in addition to the person who breaches the rule, both thetrainer and person in charge of the horse commits a breach of the rules. (4)A breach of sub-rules (1) and (3) are declared to be a serious racing offence. (5)Where sub-rule (1) is contravened or a permitted act is undertaken by a veterinarianunder sub-rule (2) the horse is:(a)ineligible to be entered or start in a race for a period of eight clear days fromthe date of the act or such longer period as a Judicial Committee may decide;and(b)must be disqualified from any race in which it started during theeight-day period or longer period referred to in paragraph (a). (6)Rule 1005E shall apply with any necessary modification to any disqualificationunder sub-rule (5)(b). Im picking the first test case on the above will be a doozy for the Vet fraternity. Iraklis 2,203 Report post Posted November 18, 2019 Thanks for that JJ.....oh stables may not be alone in his thinkin, however 'thinkin' summit don't make em right...... However stables, HRNZ have by the looks of it simply introduced a Rule, to placate all those such as yourself; after all just look at (2) Sub-Rule (1) is not contravened when....I say again if your goin to imply or insinuate something, why should anyone listen? though, if you are clear and sure of your facts then why not simply accuse! why beat about the bush?
