Gruff 2,790 Report post Posted April 23, 2020 I see Bryce has the services of the irishman Ronan Short at Werribee today, on Hanaki warrior and Takahe. Ronan has been in good form particularly in two recent flat races after a string of misses over the jumps albeit riding lesser fancies, those rides have been positive early so we will see how patient he is on HW, he gets a little bouncy and uses his heels but its working...Looks a good fit, wouldnt be surprised if this new association is a fruitful one . $10/$3.30 NZ Tab , couldnt sprint with Jack Reagan at Sandown who broke 12 seconds but wont need that sprint here . Bryce picked up nearly 2k last night at Pakenham, 3 horses went out all about the 50 to 151 SP mark and beat home total of 3 runners . 2k ok for nights work minus expenses . HW ,61 runs since debut March 2018 , have you seen his fresh up stats , 1 run fresh up, his debut . Run every month bar July 2018 when he had about five weeks off . He's a decent ew show today over 2600 , iam on and going to throw a few coins on his 106 start maiden at Cranbourne tonight . Awful race over 2600 , favorite puts in a bad one who knows . Gruff 2,790 Report post Posted April 24, 2020 The dawdle was the undoing, just left flat footed when the sprint went on , would of prefered off the rail and moving earlier. Nice even run . Clayton Douglas and Raise the Flag strike again

Nice even run . Clayton Douglas and Raise the Flag strike again It was a dawdle alright , picked up ok in end but too late . Stats show he needs everything to go right to get his head in front. More money into kitty for stable for 5th . He has more in today, there's a win coming this next month or two Gruff . Had a go at La Juge in next Gold Coast , overdue . Think your tip out . Some of the prizemoney the horses in that race have picked up is ok considering they are so slow I'd be worried that not enough time is alloted to complete race 1 before race 2 starts with that field . That will be it for him , there may be an exemption I think I read but it's quite difficult to get . Bashboy was outted and I think they explored it . It may have been to cover the 1st Aug to final jump fixture of jump season but CC not a jumper . Crafty Cruiser would have clocked up some kms . Hannaki Warrior been going close last few . AR45 rule he's done at midnight . Would say be good to truck him to course and let him gallop past winning post to finish up but no one there to cheer the old warrior anyway . Let's hope he lives a long and happy retirement . swampfox and Memphis2

Commentator a bit harsh there OM, she's slow but she beats a few home on most occasions and there are sparks of life in her at times , but I tend to agree her form is not getting better last few , maybe a spell and 1000 metres up Flemington .From the runs he gets out his horses he must be bloody good at checking them legs .I dont thing Hanaki Warrior has spelled ever .
