cherry_bomb 89 Report post Posted November 5, 2019 In a police chase if you go fast enough the cops will back off for safety of all involved and surrounding. I believe its the same logic being applied.

dock leaf 142 Report post Posted November 5, 2019 Also, it will seem odd to some that M Walker gets fined in the big one yesterday for excessive use of the whip, cheating? and promoted at the same time? This excessive whip use happens in a lot of big races, is it because jockeys increased stake money still makes it worth it despite the fine and suspension. And if not, do wealthy owners just cover the jockey's costs? The punishment will have to be increased, or the lefty's and mainstream media will thrive on it. weasel57
Phar Lap Fan 103 Report post Posted November 5, 2019 Good points raised. One form of cheating is less illegal than another? Perhaps the jockeys should be fined the difference in prize money for the higher placing.

I’d like to see the horse be disqualified out of a stakes bearing position the trainers will soon be telling the jockey to heed the whip rules . dock leaf
