Happens at every meeting to someone "GHOSTWRITER - held up throughout the run home when unable to obtain clear running. Driver M Anderson reported he had not activated the mare's removable gear in consequence. An inquiry was opened into the manner in which driver M Anderson drove over the final 400 metres. JJ Flash 2,135 Report post Posted October 7, 2019 Race 8 - WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE M Anderson (GHOSTWRITER) was questioned regarding his failure to improve his position throughout the run home between runners. Mr Anderson explained that he felt GEMMA MAC was laying outwards at the time and likely to crowd his runner had he attempted that run and so opted to drive more conservatively and look for a run elsewhere. Stewards advised Mr Anderson that in similar circumstances it was expected he drive in a more competitive manner and leave no room for query. Mr Anderson was also questioned and subsequently reprimanded for failing to attend a Stewards inquiry into this matter.
