rdytdy 5,341 Report post Posted August 25, 2019 When winning the Australian Grand National Steeplechase easily today after winning the Australian Grand National Hurdles just as easily earlier in the month Tallyho Twinkletoe became the first horse to win both races in the same year since Mosstrooper won the double in 1930. TT is all class as a jumper winning seven of eight jumping starts and it has been great work by Jo Rathbone and "Dummy" to get him back after nearly two and half years away with injury following his NZ Grand National Hurdle win in 2015. It was awesome to see him win a maiden steeplechase at Te Aroha last month so impressively and you just knew he was spot on then to go on and complete this wonderful double in Australia. Congratulations to all those connected with this wonderful horse and great rides by Aaron Kuru also.
