2Piper 404 Report post Posted July 27, 2019 Sounds like it's a really good field as remember Manchego was unbeaten in its first handful + starts. Pity you need to subscibe to the USA site to get the racelines of horses past performances.
TimTimTimbo 227 Report post Posted July 28, 2019 Ran 4th but well beaten. Needs a few more over here I think, Dexter and Manchego destroyed the field in 150.1 She won the Oaks last year. Dexter is showing the rest of the world how good of a driver he is. He is as cool as the other side of the pillow as they say over here Dexter also qualified Millies Possession for Hambo Oaks beating Nifty Norman's Filly by a nose to remain undefeated

I thought it was a perfect 1st up run. Found the line great . I'm sure the trainer and driver will be happy with the effort. You think Dexter is cool, if I was wanting any driver for a million it would be Sears all day. Dexter should have a very long successful career over there in saying that. Let's hope he wins the oaks next week. Don't want to see an allard runner winning that. Mind you detention barn should stop him there. You are right, that was a very good run from Speeding Spur and Linda Toscano is an excellent trainer Edited July 28, 2019 by TimTimTimbo

Blue 1,085 Report post Posted July 29, 2019 Just my opinion but I thought he looked a fraction behind the eight-ball in his two starts before heading overseas and reckon he should have gone a year ago. He's an eight year old stallion and at that age all he's gradually going to do is top up, plus he's going from middle and distance racing to quickfire mile racing against specialist mile horses and at an advanced age. Not sure he can do it but happy to be proven wrong. Rusty
