tim vince 985 Report post Posted July 25, 2019 That a good idea for handicapping maiden winners would be if they win a maiden race off say 48 that would be there rating going into the open system.if u win off 40 u are obviously of limited ability and belong as a 40 in the open system. Very hard for a maiden to jump to 55 and be competitive,might also stop the drain of maiden winners being sold. still the handicapping committee must be very smart as they only had to change the system 2 thousand times and still it's no good and not achieving the goal of like with like and longevity of horses and at the least in the north helping the field size.
