Constantinople has a few pundits scratching heads up there , he is seen as a bit ungenuine from what ive read and heard on tv but he looks a lovely horse . The other Cape Good Hope a brother to Highland Reel and Idaho , forth in French Derby . Hayes got Rostrapovich as well. There's some big money gone the Coolmore teams way  from those three alone .

Very lightly raced the Godolphin horse ,had quick look field last night and was a 3 year old with a picket line fence form figures shown as favorite . Couldn't have him for Arc  though .

They must be serious RR, Coolmore are staying in with Hayes syndicating the rest.

Quarantine first then the Herbert Power, or straight into the Cup.

Constantinople 's full  brother Our Bazaar ran 4th at Kilcoy last week, another Bondi Beach been moved on by Team Williams and another a 2 mile three hurdle winner for Joseph O'Brien at Downpatrick  so a versatile family .

I see David Hayes has bought into Constantinople, one of O'Briens stable. Similar formlines to Rekindling and Cross Counter.

That Godolphin horse that won at Baden Baden looked impressive but not sure what it beat.

https://www.racenet.com.au/news/godolphin-monster--likely-for-arc-after-14-length-win-20190902

Looking into form out  that race from  Germany a few tie ins with Spring in OZ . 3rd Laccario German Derby winner , won last four . Had well beaten Django Freeman into 2nd in  Derby and previous race , Django Freeman now with Robert Hickmott and prominent in betting for big ones , Communique from in form yard ran last but looked gone too far out to be true had beaten Mirage Dancer at Newmarket in July and he has gone from Stoutes yard to OZ . 12s now for Arc but cannot see him getting the easy lead at Longchamp in big field with pacemakers and pressure on.

Newcastle race 3 Got Your Six

How is this paying $1.70??!

Has finished runner up to Trope, Classique Legend & Fasika before easily winning her maiden.

What price would Classique Legend be paying in this field?!

She’s had a couple of trials to fit herself for this fresh up assignment.

Should jump straight to the lead and show them all a clean pair of heels in typical Gai Waterhouse fashion.

I had a grand on her flock.

Had every chance, just not good enough on the day.

I’m obviously a bit rusty after having the weekend off.

Lookin forward to The Valley on Saturday. B)

Spanish Point should go OK tomorrow at Sandown 5s and 2s at moment .Went nice race on OZ debut few weeks back.

Best Solution entered up on the all weather at Kempton this Saturday well favored in betting , hasn't run  since Melbourne Cup . Couple of Cup entrants also in race  , including Prince of Aaron.

Looks like your mate Raymond Tusk will be heading down for the MC. Plenty of downunder buyer enquiry after the Ebor run apparently.

Qualified through a win in Italy and they reckon he'll get around 53kg.  33-1 currently but must be on a par with fave Mustajeer surely...??

Couple ex Ballydoyle horses going round for Yulong today at Seymour . Gottino 5/25 on debut behind  Ten Soveriegns at Curragh but not much money to be made on him today at 2.40 . Other is Fields of Yulong.

Had a small ew bet RT now it's planning on heading down.

Great article about O’Brien on Racing, com, and what he’s bringing down.

He’s definitely taking this seriously now and contemplating bringing a different, and more appropriate, type of horse.

Lookin forward to heading out to The Valley today.

King of Leogrance looks a nice horse and will be keen to see Ollie ride him a bit more forward from his good gate.

Track won’t be as adversely affected as I thought it would be with only a smattering of rain in Melbourne through the week. B)

Good start to the day.

$400 place Funstar $1.75 Fixed.

J Mac gave her a beautiful ride. She’s in for a big prep off that fresh up run.

Sun has come out at The Valley.

$135K stake for the 1st race! B)

Not much tread left on Red Galileo hooves , 1000 km on the racetrack  some wonky maths there .That's some endurance horse  . Be sort thing that sport throws up though ,  owner goes close number times , sells horse then  it wins .Not for me though.

Spanish Mission done the form out of Gordon Stakes no harm yesterday at Belmont winning decent prize . They heading out next year according to connections . Neck behind Constantinople in Gordon Stakes . He was drawn wide , Jamie Spencer produced one of his set plays , drop out move up steadily , pick a path and pounce on line , shame it didn't work out when my money  was on Raymond Tusk in Ebor .

RT has 54kg in the Cup.  Cross Counter has been given 57.5kg, so pretty tough for him now.

Hartnell’s over two miles ?? as an eight year old FFS

You cannot be serious

I love Hartnell.. whether he runs first second third or last.. you obviously don't know me very well p4p :) as those that take part in my comps do.    He's my fave horse running around at the moment has been for years.

He's run some Melbourne Cups but yes he's older now.. but he's still as far as I'm concerned a marvellous horse.
