GOM 1,017 Report post Posted July 11, 2019 Leo is a man of many hats and maybe he could change it again and have a go at the so called top job. For would be; It is ripe for the pickings We need someone who is not scared to tell it like it is We need someone who has been there and done that in life We need someone who will not soil his pants when put under pressure We need someone who when thrown off knows how to dust themselves down and get going again There is precedent with a jockey being PM of NZ hedley
gubellini 4,003 Report post Posted July 11, 2019 Leo should offer himself as a List Candidate for the National Party. At least he would be rated higher than former Racing Minister David Bennett. Midget

GOM 1,017 Report post Posted July 11, 2019 No, I was serious. Well known, popular, good understanding of economics with a few tweaks you could be right there Leo. The youngest prime minister we have ever elected was an ex jockey. Go for it.
Trump 2,741 Report post Posted July 12, 2019 Leo could be NZ’s answer to Donald Trump! Doesn’t give a rats what people think, not afraid of the PC brigade or what they think, not afraid to give DCM orders etc etc. But there’s a problem. I don’t think Leo would like kissing babies, (babes are ok but not babies) or wasting time in the swamp with all the Neville-nobodies that seem to run for parliament.
