J Campbell- No More Change- Oh Dear

NO MORE CHANGE - Junior Driver J Campbell, with the assistance of J Cox, admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 2400 metres when shifting inwards resulting in VIGOROSO being checked and breaking. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Mr Campbell's Horseman's Licence from the conclusion of racing on 4 April up to and including 13 April 2019 (2 days) and imposed a fine of $100. Mr Campbell defended a breach of Rule 869(2) alleging that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing replays and hearing the evidence, the JCA upheld the charge and Mr Campbell was fined $200.

 

The horse went a lot better than the driver and was a tragedy beaten in the end. Hopefully he will take a lot out of the experience.

For a guy that has had 141 lifetime drives he has really  butchered this one. To miss by a head after showing no willingness to improve before he did is ludicrous.

Always has driven the horse to come with one late run,so can't see why he  will drive it any different. Previous runs shows it is best driven that way  It generally has a short sprint.

Sometimes ,like last start,you wonder if the timing of that late run is too late.,but that's what  happens if you always drive a horse with that one dimensional mind set.

Correct you are about its racing style and for the record has run in the money 50% of the time on the course.Looks to have this lot at her mercy if she runs up to her last start there providing he gives it every chance to perform.

It's not a field of superstars but she's a 7 year old mare and not won in her last 15 starts. Hmmmmmm........................As said FTM there are a few '"IF's"

Will be interesting. To me aveross rustler,ideologist and myrcella all have slightly stronger form. Probably will come home late again.

No disagreement  re ifs. Won't get any of mine but as JJ said earlier he butchered  it last start and tonight's field looks no stronger

Horse went nil. Driven conservatively and battling at 400 as it tried to improve..
