Jape 344 Report post Posted February 4, 2019 That cO record set by Nervous Wave (21/04/06) 17.10 over the 295m has finally been officially bettered. The new record of 17.08 was set by Randy Raccoon last week. This is an Australian-bred greyhound by Oaks Road -out of Arolok Daisy but it did qualify here at Addington. Trained by Calum Weir of Swimming Goat fame it will obviously be one to follow. I mentioned "officially" above because there have been occasions when a cO maiden winner in the past has run faster than 17.10 over the 295m at Addington but invariably the greyhound has come into the race as a winner - usually in the same week at either Invercargill or Forbury - and so was a c1 greyhound. As we have discussed on here over the years you need 4 things to break a record anywhere and they all occurred last week. .Perfect conditions namely a fast track, no wind and a warm day/night. Number 4 is a very speedy greyhound. lad27
