Franco Ice 36 Report post Posted January 13, 2019 Hi, could anyone please point me in the direction of those looking after the inventory and trying to find a long-term home for it. I'm referring specifically to the collection that used to be at Ellerslie under the old stand. I recall there may have been a significant owner from up north who took the task on? gubellini 3,923 Report post Posted January 14, 2019 Franco Ice Wendy Pye was the founding Chairman of the NZ Champions Racing Museum Charitable Trust. I don’t know if she is still in that role but she would be a good person to contact.
Nerula 1,389 Report post Posted January 14, 2019 There have been numerous enquires from owners over time. Rumour has it was stacked in a container and some got damaged. Dame Wendy Pye couldnt get any traction and she is very on to things. Latest intel was it is at Cambridge and that came from NZTR. Sadly history seems to be low priority and thats a symptom of poverty. If you cant look after the living what chance the dead!
