Chestnut 2,707 Report post Posted November 17, 2018 FINAL RACE OF CUP WEEK: CWC6 : Race 11 : Riccarton Park First: 9 Imeldas Girl $11.90 / $3.70 Second: 14 Miss Scandinavia $1.70 Third: 5 Sentient $4.50 Sub: 14 Scrs: 17 to 22 Ted, Mardy with a BB and Class Act found the Didham trained, Imeldas Girl (currently being leased from Ralph Manning). Neither of the comp leaders gained a return in the last and even though Imeldas Girl did drift it wasn't enough to get the fast finishing Ted over the line. Well done to Napier and Al Fielding who have both played a strong hand over Cup Week and ended up only $1.60 apart with Napier just nosing out Al. Big Congratulations to Napier ! and a huge well done to Al Third placing in the comp goes to Ted and The Lyric makes up the first four. Some excellent tipping over the week - hats off to you all. rdytdy 4,544 Report post Posted November 17, 2018 Congrats Napier and Al I was flashing home with a storming finish but the post came up a fraction too soon. Definitely the black booker out of the race though. Thank you sponsors, scorers and ball boys. 6 Pegasus 9, talk, Black Kirrama and 3 others reacted to this
napier 142 Report post Posted November 17, 2018 Thanks Mardy for a great comp and special thanks to PJ - Chestnut - Ohokaman - Scoobs for your efforts in providing us all with a fun comp. Al Fieldings effort made an exciting day for us here at home yesterday with the leader board changing frequently. One thing i liked most about this comp was the "no sub" rule. You could post your entries any day and know that if you had any scratchings you were at least on the Tab fav - whereas in some other comps you missed out if you didnt replace your scratching. In todays world where many are working long hours it is often very hard to get time to view fields after scratching time - just my opinion though........ Anyway - again thanks for a well run comp Napier. 1 1 Black Kirrama and Ohokaman reacted to this
Al Feilding 176 Report post Posted November 17, 2018 WWWOOOOOOOOO.....The Siren. Enquirey. So with Scarlet Banner being deemed a late scratching R1 Tuesday and the fav running third the question needs to be asked.

So with Scarlet Banner being deemed a late scratching R1 Tuesday and the fav running third the question needs to be asked. Enquirey (sic) dismissed SCARLETT BANNER - broke at the start then switched to a pace when being restrained losing its chance. The all clear was delayed when driver G Smithadvised Stewards he may have been denied a fair start when KING CASSIDY shifted inwards at the start. Stewards were satisfied this shift had occurred after the tapes had been released and that SCARLETT BANNER had broken after the start when attempting to shift around that runner. Stewards therefore ruled that SCARLETT BANNER had been granted a fair start and the all clear was authorised.

Yeah no worries Kloppite , Did hear somewhere that decision was reversed so asked the question.
scooby3051 4,337 Report post Posted November 18, 2018 Just want to say the Al has accepted the final decision and has agreed to put half of his winnings back into comps on here, thank you very much for that it is really appreciated, every little bit helps to make the comps as good or better than they already are. Once again thanks everyone for entering and more to come very soon. 1 Pegasus 9 reacted to this
Mardy 475 Report post Posted November 19, 2018 Firstly just wanted to say thanks to those that stepped in for me while i dealt with some stuff.Especially a big thanks to Maria(chestnut) for her efforts..i think we should make a rule, whenever there is a comp on i think Maria should do the scores...as her work is outstanding. Now congrats to the winners.....Well done to Napier and Al for taking the top 2 spot. After getting an email from Leigh i believe he is sorting out the prizemoney for you both.So that leaves Rdytdy(3rd) ($100) and The Lyric (4th $50).Let me know whether you want it paid into your bank account...Tab account......or you want a punt on a horse and then take any winnings.I'll be back home within the next 2 days so ill will sort it when im back, but message me what you'd like done with it. Thanks again all for entering. 2 1 Chestnut, Cubes and napier reacted to this
