Hastings Coverage

Recommended Posts

The coverage we had at Hastings today for 3 or 4 races after Riccarton was abandoned, and before Aussie kicked off, was the coverage we should be getting of our premier meetings every Saturday.

Was brilliant, 15 mins before the race, crossing live into the mounting yard, getting to watch the horses parade, good build up, and good after race coverage with interviews and so on.

Why cant Trackside 1 be used like this more often, especially when its only the early races at Randwick/Flemington, put those onto Trackside 2.

Yeah I didn't know the Riccarton races were off and was thinking wow isn't the time between races great, thought it must have been planned, but in an ideal world it's the type of coverage you would get, and other sports do, but unfortunately relying on the betting dollar they are going to put in as many races as possible. Would be great if you had one channel for each race meeting, and could settle in for the day and get all the interviews, build up, aftermath from one venue rather than the current way.

People moaned left right and centre when they changed channels in the middle of a meeting but I do think you have a good point.
