Spikecity 749 Report post Posted September 28, 2018 Clouted Jack Jones(stablemate) over the head with helmet just after the start. Stewards report - JACK JONES(AUS) - over-raced shortly after the start and contacted the helmet of M Purdon (THE MOONSHADOW) resulting in the gelding breaking. Continued to over-race through the early and middle stages when wide on the track causing driver T Williams considerable difficulty. Guess I was watching a different video than the stipes

Taku Umanga 194 Report post Posted September 28, 2018 Wouldn't be happy if I was the owner of Jack Jones - taken out of play by a headbutt from your own trainer!
Iraklis 2,231 Report post Posted September 28, 2018 Hey Spike, I guess I'd be askin why was the driver of Jack J was allowing the horse to get that close so as to be tappin on the helmet of the driver in front, not like it only happened the once, Mark objected several times following up with a few words after last episode.....just guessin, but there was probably a few more words after race..... Cheers Iraklis LongOwner
LongOwner 217 Report post Posted September 28, 2018 The driver in the trail does not have the right to run into the back of the head of the driver in front - once yes and restrain - more sign of no control as the horse has bad race manners or dumb driver . LongOwner 217 Report post Posted September 28, 2018 Just watched it again - third JJ head butt and second Mark head butt in reply - horse should of been restrained - steady as she goes - before the gate release - Tim error not Mark error but easier for RIU to blame the horse . what a post 811 Report post Posted September 28, 2018 It did not help when the horse purdon was driving dropped back quckly when it seemed to go rough for a couple of strides. Just one of those things, but not entirely the fault of the horse I thought. LongOwner and badger
Lee270744 684 Report post Posted September 29, 2018 Has anyone watched his previous 3 starts one Nathan Purdon was flat trying to hold it, in fact, I think he ran it into the mobile start car to stop it, it galloped its 1st 3rd and4th start probably not entirely the horse's fault drivers might be inexperienced?
