Rules For Some 163 Report post Posted September 23, 2018 Can anyone confirm these splits are correct? Or did they get the second and third split around the wrong way? If those splits are correct, that 14.92 would be the fastest ever split ever seen at Auckland.
Rules For Some 163 Report post Posted September 23, 2018 I am assuming its a mistake, whoever inputs the splits for Auckland seems pretty incompetent. I See they also had Cameo Syd down as leading the second sectional, yet the positioning (which is correct) has natures Gent in front. Flabbergasted 67 Report post Posted September 24, 2018 You are correct and the run home is pathetically slow for a top class field. 14.92 and 15.34 does add up to 30.26 so obviously the lure has tripped the sensor at the second mark. Flabbergasted 67 Report post Posted September 24, 2018 Or more lilkely as you suggest they've mixed the sections up as they invariably do with the leaders at various marks. The Positions In Running have always concerned me. often see dogs jump in front and get checked by something from behind or trying to cross the field and will be shown as being midfield or last early. Shouldn't the first position be at box rise so it gives a truer indication particularly as it could well paint a different picture to punters. I'm sure this is how it's recorded in Australia.
