puha 2,177 Report post Posted August 23, 2018 With the Tauherenikau abandonment we all are still waiting to hear what the alternative venue if any is going to be ? The programming over the next month for CD horses seems crazy . The only two up to the 20th of September are run at New Plymouth and these aren’t viable options for horses based on the eastern side .Masterton it’s a round trip of 650 kms and Hastings 782 kms.In reality they are more southern Waikato meetings. We can’t have owners paying bills for the next month with no options to race their mid week horses . Something needs to be sorted ASAP and when NZTR do don’t run a poxy 7/8 race programme run a 10 race card if the numbers stack up . puha 2,177 Report post Posted August 26, 2018 Since the abandoned meeting on Thursday alls gone quiet from the decision makers.Has anyone got any updates as there’s alot of owners and trainers wandering if we are getting a CD replacement meeting ? Oh maybe those making the call are on a junket to the awards evening so it’s not a priority. S.L barryb

tripple alliance 1,005 Report post Posted August 26, 2018 Why would they reschedule , these type of meetings can't make a profit for the wider industry , much more profitable to import the racing on many of these days . If the Messara report is going to present a true picture of racings problems then it will highlite the cost to the industry of these lesser types of meetings , I suspect we are about to see a very much more business oriented , hard nosed approach for the racing industry . With that thinking you’d also get your get rid of heartland rugby , mitre 10 Cup and the 3 divisions below the English premier league. Yeahh, picking it won't even be as slow as that. 180-190 horses will go around. Will report back. https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=foxton racing club&ref=eyJzaWQiOiIwLjQwMjUwNjU2MzMyOTM5NDUiLCJxcyI6IkpUVkNKVEl5Wm05NGRHOXVKVEl3Y21GamFXNW5KVEl3WTJ4MVlpVXlNaVUxUkEiLCJndiI6ImJlZTA5ZjkzZmE3MzJjZmE1OWExY2I2ZDlmNDUwZDM4OTI0MjRlNDkiLCJlbnRfaWRzIjpbXSwiYnNpZCI6IjE1NDFmNWY2NzJjYjZkNzVkYTQ0YTBmYTlhZWEyOGU3IiwicHJlbG9hZGVkX2VudGl0eV9pZHMiOm51bGwsInByZWxvYWRlZF9lbnRpdHlfdHlwZSI6bnVsbCwicmVmIjoiYnJfdGYiLCJjc2lkIjpudWxsLCJoaWdoX2NvbmZpZGVuY2VfYXJndW1lbnQiOm51bGx9

Kingshill 230 Report post Posted August 28, 2018 Better late than never, but rescheduled meeting will be 3 weeks from last weeks abandonment. If they had done some quick thinking and quick moving the ideal would have been to have a CD Industry day this coming Thursday and move Ashburton to this Friday. puha
