upandcoming 5 Report post Posted August 23, 2018 It looks like the meeting on Saturday has been moved Te Aroha. One best winter tracks is now one of the worse
chelseacol 2,488 Report post Posted August 23, 2018 Weird on a number of levels including the key point you make. For those horses who prefer one direction of running this is an interesting development. Mind you I suppose if Ellerslie was functioning it would've been run right handed to start with
Contentious 597 Report post Posted August 23, 2018 Has anyone else noticed that the industry is bouncing from one iceberg to another constantly?

gubellini 3,993 Report post Posted August 23, 2018 Te Rapa track was sand carpeted to a depth well in excess of what it should have been-50mm. Total incompetence. Expect the Great Northern meeting on September 9 to be transferred to Te Aroha as well.
rosie one 177 Report post Posted August 23, 2018 Watch the Cd horses scratch. Wrong way round for them. Dam shame these tracks that were all sand slit seem to be falling to bits. Now they wana put an all weather track in and they have already proven to be massive failures in Aussie. Wake up and smell the scammers nztr Belinda, chelseacol and hedley 1

I think - not sure how that effects the preparation... just a total shambles all the way round isn't it. (and I do see the irony that it should have been at Ellerslie right handed in the first place)
gubellini 3,993 Report post Posted August 24, 2018 Col the problem with NZ Racing is that the grotesquely paid Administrators don’t know what the left hand or right hand are doing. I have a share in a horse who may resume on Great Northern Day Sunday fortnight. Fortunately he goes ok both left or right handed. Others are not so fortunate especially CD horses. chelseacol and Huey 1

puha 2,177 Report post Posted August 25, 2018 Pretty ironic that all those preaching centralisation etc it’s a country club run by volunteers that’s come to the rescue of two so called big clubs with fully payed staff and CEO s. army, chelseacol, Huey and 3 others

As you say it was one of the best winter tracks in the country until this mistake. It happens too frequently and I guess it highlights how fickle our industry is. I only hope they learn from this.
