Jape 344 Report post Posted August 17, 2018 Sometimes it all goes wrong and last night at Wanganui it was one of those times. Apparently the injury which brought Paddy's winning streak literally to a halt was to do with a ligament and an operation is almost certainly required. Paddy has been one of our very best greyhounds. Good luck. Track Record
Lowdown 299 Report post Posted August 17, 2018 Best of luck to Paddy, I hope he's OK and lives his days out happily. He was a very good dog. Although I'm not sure he'll go down as one of the greats, in part because he's tainted by that horribly generic, overused, dodgy arrogant Bigtime prefix. As Cole said on TV recently Paddy was "like a gold nugget from a coalmine". Which I thought was actually quite witty considering a) Colemine, see what you did there Brendon and b) Paddy was not even his own breed, he (and a dodgy former Chairman of the board) swooped in and 'aquired' him while the previous owner was incarcerated. Emotive 306 Report post Posted August 19, 2018 Paddy definitely acquitted himself well. Sad to see him end his career prematurely. Hopefully, he and his mother will get to see a couch soon. scooby3051
