Tommy who?

I believe Tommy Robinson is not his actual real name... but the name he uses for his you tube channel... unsure... but i think i read it somewhere

but it has become a household name in the UK now as a result of the Politicians pandering towards the diversity Narrative

A person explained the Whole Toimmy Robinson Protest is about a whole lot of issues.. pedophilia, Child grooming, freedom of speech, loss of their culture, islamic invasion, neglecting the care/security of its citizens,Brexit and the failures of the politicians doing whats right for its citizens.. summed up as the Straw that broke the camels back!!

The English people have simply had enough of their politicians and their lack of Duty and care towards their country and countryman!!

To add to the injustice of Tommy Robinson... we have the British Justice system ready to release a known Islamist Jihad recruiter who goes by the name of Anjem Choudary

this is a direct slap in the face of all those who are protesting if Anjem should be freed!!

Just saw a connection with the Tommy Robinson rally call to occur on the 9th of June.

Seems it co-incides with the Queens Birthday Weekend... what a clever way to put pressure on the British Authorities!!

Some sensible commentary on hate speech and erosion of our rights

by CS

Hate-Speech-is-Not-Free-Speech.png?w=115

Paul Moon has a good piece at the NZ Herald of sensible thought regarding the push for hate speech laws, the Human Rights Commission and the erosions of our liberties: Quote:

Anyone hoping that the current purge of the Human Rights Commission will go far enough to flush out the hubris at its core is likely to be disappointed.

Indeed, despite staff changes, and a damning report into its culture, the commission will continue with its march towards introducing a damaging change to our society: its plan to make what it calls “disharmonious speech” aimed at religions an offence.

What makes this audacious and unwanted encroachment on our right to speak and think freely all the more insidious is that this proposed ban on “disharmonious speech” would not apply equally to the criticism of all religions.

The open season on attacking Christianity, for example, would remain, with its followers responding, as their faith requires, by turning the other cheek. Instead, the commission is explicit that this proposed free-speech ban would only apply to the sort of disharmonious comments that are “targeted at the religion and beliefs of ethnic minority communities” in New Zealand. End quote.

Protecting the hateful and misogynistic ideology of Islam , in other words. Quote

There are several troubling aspects of this plan. Firstly, the commission is moving from protecting people from unpleasant speech (which itself is dubious) to protecting ideas from criticism. If a belief is so fragile that some disharmonious comments might damage it, then maybe the adherents of that belief ought to reconsider its worth rather than seek to shield it from scrutiny.

Secondly, the commission is conflating religion with ethnicity, which is an appalling case of stereotyping. And to show how far the commission has tied itself in knots over this issue, by singling out the religions which it presumes are those of ethnic minorities, it is acting in a way that discriminates on the basis of race and religion, ironically possibly in violation of its own legislation. The thought of the commission investigating itself for a breach of the Act under which it operates indicates how far its ideologues are pursuing the appeasement of certain religions on a Chamberlainian scale.

Thirdly, there is the real risk that in offering protective measures for some religions, the followers of these religions will simply have to feign whatever it is that constitutes disharmony, after which they will be able to say and do things with impunity from further criticism. End quote.

The third proposition is already being used in other jurisdictions to practice ‘lawfare’ on people who dare to challenge people’s views. Quote

Fourthly, what makes the commission so intellectually superior to the rest of us that it feels it can be the arbiter of which ideas we can and cannot express? And what truths are they so afraid of that they feel the urge to silence us from making observations for fear that they might prove to be “disharmonious”?

Then there is the axiomatic issue of what exactly constitutes “disharmonious speech”. It is deliberately not defined in the commission’s report on this issue, and when I asked the commission to explain the meaning of the term, one employee replied the question “does not make sense”. No doubt we will get more clarity once the prosecutions get under way. End quote.

In the Star Chamber?Quote

The freedom to criticise religion and to try to discover the truth was a burning issue (sometimes literally) in previous centuries. Yet in our more enlightened age, the Human Rights Commission is challenging the notion that we have progressed far enough to discuss, debate, and even criticise ideas that are different from our own.

Why does the commission wish to ban and penalise free speech to protect certain beliefs? Surely the commission, and the rest of us, would be far better off adhering to the maxim of the Czech theologian Jan Hus: “Love the truth; let others have their truth, and the truth will prevail.”End quote.

Why indeed. These proposals must be resisted to the fullest extent.

That is a very sensible column from Paul Moon.

I admire Paul Moon... for his work and research on many fronts.

He has hit the nail on the head with his breakdown in the first two points

There are several troubling aspects of this plan. Firstly, the commission is moving from protecting people from unpleasant speech (which itself is dubious) to protecting ideas from criticism. If a belief is so fragile that some disharmonious comments might damage it, then maybe the adherents of that belief ought to reconsider its worth rather than seek to shield it from scrutiny.

His second point bringing the Human Rights Commision into the spotlight... is well justified... considering the negative cultural work place practice that was taking place within that institution.

Paul Moon merely alludes to the problem of self-investigation which is based on the Paris Principles entrenched i believe in the Charter.. which basically undermines the executive branch of Government to intervene!! problematic?? definately!!

Imagine the power to exercise New Laws into existence without the need of executive approval from our government!! Dangerous to say the least!!

Quote

Secondly, the commission is conflating religion with ethnicity, which is an appalling case of stereotyping. And to show how far the commission has tied itself in knots over this issue, by singling out the religions which it presumes are those of ethnic minorities, it is acting in a way that discriminates on the basis of race and religion, ironically possibly in violation of its own legislation. The thought of the commission investigating itself for a breach of the Act under which it operates indicates how far its ideologues are pursuing the appeasement of certain religions on a Chamberlainian scale.

Paul Moon although not advocating for Tommy Robinson's release... is no doubt aware of the troubles facing Britain. and identifies the parallel and dangers of Free-Speech being undermined!!

God Bless Paul Moon

I can only guess that Lindsay Perigo was referencing from the problems that were hitting the shores of Europe/Britain .. as a result of the migrant refugee crisis from Syria.

He clearly see's the problem arising from the massive influx of refugees... albeit those deceptively claiming to be refugees.

The problem is in the Open-Border Policy that the EU aligns with... hence part of the reason why many British citizens voted out of Brexit... But alas.. there are those in high places wishing not to Brexit...

The People Voted for Brexit and the powers that be toy with the peoples Vote....

The English Patriots will not have their voice silenced!!! along comes the Tommy Robinson arrest.. which is symbolic of the Brexit issue.. and people are awoken to their reality!!

God Bless the movement of Tommy Robinson!!

University bans gendered words

by WH on June 12, 2018 at 2:30pm

Without a hint of irony the University of Queensland has banned gendered words from student assignments.

The University of Monarchsland (as it shall henceforth be known) has joined other Australian universities in marking down students who use words which upset snowflakes.

The Daily Mail reports: Quote.

Top universities across Australia have taken to slashing students grades for using banned ‘gendered language’.

Terms such as ‘man’, ‘she’, ‘wife’, ‘mother’ and any other terminology that angers the PC brigade have been blacklisted.

Students claimed they have lost marks for referring to ‘mankind’ or ‘workmanship’ in assignments, as they are not deemed ‘inclusive language.’

‘People are losing marks for using everyday speech because it’s not gender-neutral,’ a politics student told The Courier Mail.

The student said the university can’t just ban every word with ‘man’ in it, as more blacklisted words are uncovered, including ‘sportsmanship’ and man-made.’

The acting executive dean of The University of Queensland’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Julie Duck, think the penalties are justified. End of quote.

As mentioned above Queensland is out.  Faculty of Humanities, has to go.  And is Julie “Duck” being just a tad birdist? Quote.

‘Students are advised to avoid gender-biased language in the same way they are advised to avoid racist language, cliches, contractions, colloquialisms, and slang in their essays.’

She said these issues should only marginally impact marks, depending on the severity of the infringement.

Queensland University of Technology students are also being impacted by the university’s political correct crusade.

Students are being penalised for failing to use ‘inclusive language’, and warned against describing women in a secondary position to something or somebody else.

This includes, but is not limited to ‘wife of’, ‘mother of’ or ‘daughter of’. End of quote.

For crying out loud! If you cannot say “Jane is the mother of Mary.” and you cannot say “Mary is the daughter of Jane.” How do you describe the familial connection?  “Jane is the female parent of Mary”?  Nope – fail, uses “female“. Quote.

The suffix ‘man’ is deemed sexist, due to the implication that the comment is referential of a male.

Griffith University tells staff and students to ‘look for non-binary pronouns so that misgendering doesn’t occur’.

Universities are going so far as to reject notions of correct grammar in favour of excluding gendered language.

The University of Sydney prefers students to create sentences that are grammatically incorrect but politically correct, rather than use the words ‘he’ or ‘she’.

The example their style guide provides to exemplify this is: ‘If a student wants their results early, they should go to the student centre.’ End of quote.

Clearly, not a lot of thought went into the new ‘approved’ list:

‘Mankind’ is out; to be replaced with ‘human race’.  That cannot stay – huperson must be used. Oh, no – huperson, that is no good either. Hudescendant? Yes! Got it.  The ‘hudescendant race’; simply rolls off the tongue.  Although the illusion to ‘race’ rather does imply winners and losers and that is not acceptable as everyone is an equal participant these days.  I think I will refer that one back to the committee …

Team NZ’s new America’s Cup yacht KZ69 was launched today and in the first trial run up the harbour, they showed an amazing turn of speed. Grant Dalton said the results showed the quality of the work ethic that had gone into the design and construction.  They said the team hoped more improvements could be made but in the end, it was good sport that was important in any contest.  One of the lead designers Cheryl Walker said that the construction of some components had proved difficult. “There are some very complex shapes involved,” they said.

Which paragraph would you rather read for clarity and understanding?

Apparently, people have been attempting to coin and use gender-neutral pronouns since around 1850. Language can, and does, change rapidly and the fact that nothing has succeeded in the gender-neutral pronoun quest in the intervening 168 years should tell these muppets something.  (Hint: Give up!)
