Trump 2,741 Report post Posted March 17, 2018 Ok Experts, ( I'm not referring to you Admin2..) I have had the priv of participating in various Racecafe Comps, most of which I've failed in - mainly due to the nature of the comp However, I've won an HQ voucher, which I haven't had the chance to redeem! That's irrelevant really, because Leo is such a great HOST, the voucher really doesn't matter. I'll be at HQ soon and look forward to the experience. So! To make a contribution to Racecafe, I would like to put up a $250 voucher to have dinner or lunch at HQ, for the cafer who can pick the F4 in the Golden Slipper. The only condition for this comp is that there will be 2 requirements. (1) BarryB has to put an entry in and (2) BarryB has to acknowledge that The Slipper is a great race Are you ok with this Scoobs? I will liase direct with LJM re the lodgement of the $250. If you approve Scoobs, all we need is for BB to comply

Trump 2,741 Report post Posted March 17, 2018 "Life was not meant to be easy" - quote PM Malcolm "Pants down" Fraser. So,, only 4 picks. Besides, this years Slipper is a 2 horse race, so you're really looking for 3rd and 4th.The first entry lodged that is correct will win the prize. In the event that nobody picks the F4, the prize is not won. We don't accept mediocrity or reward poor performance - we leave that up to NZTR/RB and WP. Entries close at 12 noon NZ Time. If you have a late scr then in descending order, to keep you alive your scratched horse will be replaced with the very next numbered horse below. Eg, if you have No 10 to run 3rd and it's scr, it's slot will be filled by No 11, or, if u already have 11, then No 12 and so on. Clear?. Scooby if u can close the comp at 12 noon NZ Time on Sat that would be great. Ok all? Do your study - the Slipper usually throws up a roughie in the placings. By the way, Scoobs, I'll give you the priv of banning anyone from taking part in this comp, after all, it's your Forum. It's only for Experts - no Amatuers please I'll contact you Leo to find out where to deposit the purse. If I've missed something re the comp, please tell me, other than that, BarryB, please come in! The Crucible 632 Report post Posted March 17, 2018 Do you have to pick the four in order or is it four picks boxed? I'm assuming because your latest post referred to "No 10 to run 3rd" that its picking all four in the right order.

Trump 2,741 Report post Posted March 18, 2018 STOP PRESS NEWS!! We have a $500 banquet and booze prize thanks to Pounders generous (as always!) match up for $250. Having spent many a time dining and wining at his many watering holes over the years (Euro was my fave) it's no surprise his generosity is on display. However, we now have another highly generous supporter of the Slipper Comp, in the form of YIR TIZ ! YT has offered to provide $100 towards a Limo/Corporate Cab to get you to HQ and Home again. How about that!! Good on YT for enhancing the offer to Cafers - many thanks for doing this. Now, don't forget, it's the "FIRST CORRECT ENTRY RECORDED IN THIS THREAD". In other words, if there are more than one who get the F4 in correct order, the first correct entry recorded wins!! So don't be late in entering. I also have another condition. If you win then the name behind the Nom De Plume must be one of the diners. You can't transfer it to a 3rd party and not front yourself. This is a comp for Racecafe people. Cheers and good punting!
