Right first time 1,923 Report post Posted February 28, 2018 Ironic. Before this Summer/Autumn comp got underway I had a good look at the other 7 teams, and decided that there was a clear "weaker link/must play the Joker against" team. Felt pretty confident on that one. Now I look up following Round 5 and find that the team I assessed as "weaker link/must play the Joker against" team .... is actually leading the competition !! How did that happen ? What sort of judge am I ?? Time for a rethink on the Double AAs Joker play, you'd think ?? Nup...I assess our Mainly Dollarz opponents this Saturday as a difficult proposition, running 2nd in the Comp; my opponent and fellow-Captain Mighty Blue Brian has amassed over $500 more than me to date; and regular high achiever TC is tracking 5 from 5. Enough reason to hold the Joker back for a big match in Round 7 against the Dark Horsies. But guess what, Mainly Dollarz ?? We're still gonna win this Saturday ! Ad Augusta ! If you don't score more dollars than Cat, then on behalf of the Double AAs can I say we haven't been inconvenienced at all, and we thank you immensely. globederby12 1,495 Report post Posted February 28, 2018 And on that note I note that of all those on 3 wins and two losses (that's 17) only two are below a grand in dollars. That's me in case you were wondering and someone else. Dave, you listening Dave. I'm due BIG TIME Dave. And LDM are due some luck, especially Tony (dear fellow). This week could be it, in fact WILL be it. Steve P is about to explode,(not literally of course), John has PJ covered, and that only leaves the thorn in our side . BETTY. Gee she can be annoying at times . It all adds up to a successful weekend. AAhhh, what more could a man want. " whats that love, yeah another wine thanks". Von Cettes 685 Report post Posted February 28, 2018 I just want to congratulate PJ for not having the Chipping Norton as one of the races, more than likely that would be a waste of a comp race everyone well nearly everyone would have the winner and lose on the race Kundalini and Peter Jenkins 1
Kundalini 640 Report post Posted February 28, 2018 Interesting to note some comment on the "Dark Horses".....when the draft was completed the Dark Horses draft numbers combined amounted to 40...a lot lower than Betza Grand and Mainly $$$...be wary they are not the bunnies some think !! When the above comments were passed onto Rosina, she just chuckled in that delightful, antiquated Maori way, which spells trouble. On the Mainy $$$ front...I had Jill assessed at 19 but did not secure her until the last in the draft [32]....he who laughs last laughs longest...Jill has been an inspired selection....with TC and Richie just cruising...Jack and Jill go up the hill to fetch a bucket of dollarz
