Black Kirrama 1,513 Report post Posted February 21, 2018 John Steffert lined up his 900th NZ starter at Avondale today. He Won with ( his words ) "an ungainly old fashioned bred stayer". With Sir John's amazing record with stayers I believe he's got another beautiful staying type to take to Aussie. RaiseThe Phanton was lot 130 at the South Island Sales 13th April 2014. $40k Fake news will tell you that "John sold 20 Jersey cows and a Fergy Tractor to avoid an over draft !" to purchase this horse while in the south Island with Black on Black. Great stockman and wonderful man. Rev

Shad 1,558 Report post Posted February 21, 2018 Nice horses, those raise the flags, left a some nice ones in aussie as well as nz, anyone wanting a late developing staying type,he would be worth a look, modest service fee to, civil disobedience may be coming for the derby. Well done to John.
