kawiboy 16 Report post Posted September 13, 2017 I am just repeating what was told to me other day,and wonder if anyone else has heard similar. That David Walker, disqualified for 7 yrs thereabout, has applied to resume his career starting working back at stables, and riding trials.Probably served long enough, could do with more senior jockeys. And at end of day,we are probably all guilty of wrong somewhere along the way?Interesting..... I tend to think there is little harm in giving a chance to do this now Brown Fox and Insider 1
Diver Dan 187 Report post Posted September 13, 2017 For mine he was totally bent over and had it rammed right up to the makers name. There has been far worse in this industry for lesser punishment. Good luck to him - he deserves another chance. Insider, THE TORCH and Baz (NZ)
gubellini 3,923 Report post Posted September 14, 2017 Hope this is true. David's original penalty was far harsher than it should have been. Insider
shaneMcAlister 1,420 Report post Posted September 14, 2017 Like to see him back too. Going forward however all jockeys know they rules and the punishment. If not please can they put it on their fridge. Or get their partners to place the bets.

Good luck to him - he deserves another chance. how do you assume this, he was caught betting on a different horse in the same race which he was riding in, his horse was dead set bolting, and he was holding it up, didn't give his runner a chance. That is pure cheating for his own personal gain. I agree he deserves another chance, and he has served some time, but I don't think this was rammed up him, I think its been quite fair, and in fact if suggest he is lucky to be aloud to come back. My personal opinion only, but his actions were corrupt, and anyone which feels they have to use such actions for personal gain should never be allowed back. shaneMcAlister and GOM 1

Chad Ormsby/Troy Harris/Jason Waddell tampered with a fellow jockeys car - could have caused death - 3 months suspension and fines of around $650.00 D Lang takes a mate with him armed with a cattle prod - breaks into a home bashes a pensioner - on trackside within 5 months. I could go on. I'm not condoning Walker for what he did, just think the crime did not warrant such a severe punishment Grego, THE TORCH, Lloyd Vivian and 2 others

I know that it's hard for you to believe let alone understand but that's the way it is. Of couse she will and even a few points more! I guess for the LGL competition you will price the leading contenders at: National (Tory Capitalist Pigs) $1.70 Labour (Red Socialist Layabouts) $2.10 n0? P.S. I will be laying the Tories and of course you will be offering a Winx type bonus as a sweetener to attract us all in! n0?
