as you are no doubt aware of the bumbling talk that Biden gives at times... forgetting sometimes which state he's in and in some cases he forgets who the current president is... (George??)

so your judgement in regards to smart people speaking when they open their mouth is somewhat bias. clearly!! lol

not that you are in support of what Biden stands for!! rather you show disdain toward the other side...

dems da breaks i guess!!

Imagine if Trump couldn't even beat the bumbling Biden, the worst candidate ever. Just imagine......

its better to be realistic...

and going by the wishful thinking you have...

you'd do better in picking the winner of the Melbourne Cup for 2020 then selecting best choice for President of the USA!! *winks*

The simple fact is that the US election race is between two has beens. The losers are the American people, which ever way it plays out.

What happens when Adern announces James Shaw as ‘Man made ‘Climate change minister🤔

Is sounds as though many voted strategically to allow Labour to Govern alone removing the Green Scourge, coupled with a Biden Harris win God help us 😳

Our Sister City will end up being Caracas 🙄

Gruff - a lot (most) people don't think (and learn).     Last election people voted  Peters thinking he would go right but his history with the Nats showed that would not happen.        Now with the Greens - sure Labour could govern by themselves but come the next elections they may well need the support of the Greens again, so why upset them now.

James Shaw has a dilemma to ponder over the weekend. You are right, he has been offered Climate Change Minister, but he first has to identify as a woman of colour to meet diversity quota.

Which way will he go, or will he go both ways as asked?

After later term's KiwiBuild fiasco, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern demoted Phil Twyford - who will be a minister outside Cabinet, with the disarmament portfolio.

@Nerula

@eljay just remember who Twitford has been long time best friends with, there's a cluster**** of them in politics, dating back to 42 St Georges Rd Parnell Auckland days in the 1980's.

Same era as Helen Clark & Peter Davis & Auckland University.

So who tells various Professors what they must teach at our universities?

Who is funding our universities and why do they "rubber stamp" each others papers across the world?

Where has individual thinking & acting gone to, especially in our universities?

Who is writing the curriculum that is been used?

Why has it been flipped on it's head from practical inclusive of all people's ideas to that of a toxic minority who don't accept others?

Twitford also set up OXFAM in New Zealand for those who may not be aware.

Anyone know what Auditing it's subject to?

Would you contribute to them knowing he has his hand in the pie?

We all know if all the funds we have given to some of these "charities" was going to those ou need productively there would be no poverty, whatever that is defined as these days, in many of those places.

Btw why are some of those involved in such organizations so anti Cow farming, poultry farming & chickens running around in peoples yards & in areas that were once rural in and around Auckland?

NZ’s COVID Comedy

By
JC-

November 12,

Covid in this country has become a comedy on so many fronts. It’s a comedy primarily because there are a bunch of clowns trying to run it. From the get-go these idiots haven’t had a clue how to handle it. What has let this ship of fools off the hook, and what has given the appearance that they know what they are doing, is nothing to do with their capabilities but everything to do with our geographical position on the planet. I suppose we have to thank Maui for fishing up the North Island where he did, miles from anywhere.

Their comedic comment that they went hard and early we all know to be a joke. A month too late is hardly hard and early. Had they gone hard and early and had they done at the borders what they said they were doing, testing and protective clothing, we could have avoided the situation we are now in where it appears that the Government still doesn’t have a handle on the management of the virus. The left hand doesn’t seem to know what the right hand is doing.

I think that the government has got itself into a situation where the phrase too many cooks spoil the broth is appropriate. A few days ago Kiwiblog reported about a family who flew on flight 457 last Thursday and sat in the same row, 23, as a positive COVID-19 contact. The Ministry of Health told them that they were deemed a casual contact and did not need to get a test or to self-isolate. The traveller, however, worked in a restaurant and his employer didn’t want him coming to work without a test.

The employer rang Healthline to find out the best way to get one. Healthline contradicted the Ministry of Health and said that the traveller was a close, not a casual, contact and should self-isolate for fourteen days. (Just him, not the rest of his family who were also on the flight). Then, according to Stuff, the MOH put out a press release saying that everyone who sat within two rows of row 23 must self-isolate for fourteen days and their families must also isolate until they return a negative test.

They called Healthline again and were told the MOH advice was wrong and reiterated their previous advice. They then called Public Health, part of the MOH, and a nurse told them they should all isolate until they get results. Healthline then rang apologising for inconsistent advice and telling them that they should all isolate. Finally, they were called again by the public health nurse and the Healthline doctor saying that due to a change of protocol (they were on the other side of the aisle) the COVID-19 person was now considered a casual contact and none of them needed to isolate or get tested.

Six different pieces of advice from different parts of the health system.

Instead of doing his silly one o’clock standup, Bloomfield might be better, along with Hipkins, to get their house in order. These daily utterances are nonsense. I’ve long grown tired of them. I am not interested in every intricate detail of a Covid case bar when they last visited the loo. All this achieves is keeping the country obsessed with the virus which no doubt is their pathetic little game.

There appeared to be further confusion this week over the number of extra beds being provided over the holiday season with the bastion of the left, RNZ, reporting 100 a day being made available. Grant Robertson, talking to HDPA on Newstalk ZB, seemed confused about the number saying it would be the number of people who cancelled through changing circumstances that would be the reason for the one hundred figure. How does he or anyone else know that will create a hundred more empty beds per day?

The whole thing is a shambles as it has been from the start. Those returning home now need a voucher before boarding their flight to ensure their accommodation. I can see vouchers being issued but no accommodation being available on arrival due to a mix up with numbers. This lot couldn’t run a bath if you showed them where the taps were.

The irony of all this is that so many voters fell for the PM’s Covid election pretence and voted the ship of fools back in. Up the creek without a paddle doesn’t even begin to tell the story.

What Covid? Its a Coronavirus Comedy 😆

New Green deal, how else could they stop Air travel ? You would of been laughed out of the room in 2018 if you said International travel would be stopped because of a Flu... imagine how good the mortality figures will look for the next three years with all those close to death dying from this prematurely  and they will put these figures down to the ‘Vaccine’ what a success they will say ... but the 100s of thousands who will suffer from the Vaccine wont be singing their praises...Vaccine Harm is real, and remember the WHO will and have made vaccines when the disease has been controlled naturally and reinfected populations to see if the vaccine would of worked ... All in the name of progress , or should i say Money and Power...

Mike's Minute: Government's Covid response a shambles

Turns out the Covid cluster we really need to be worried about is called the government cluster.

Yet again last week they overreacted, yet again they cost business millions, and yet again we find out that what they said was happening and what was actually happening are two completely different things.

Having closed downtown Auckland, it became fairly obvious at seven o'clock Friday morning when we talked to Chris Hipkins that the shutting down of the economic engine of the country was not required, and that the poor girl at the centre of this maelstrom was indeed connected to an established cluster.

By the end of the weekend, you had threats against the owner of the business, you had Auckland's Mayor laying into them for what they may or may not have done, you had lawyers claiming what the Ministry had said wasn’t entirely accurate, you had the Ministry defending themselves, and you had claim and counterclaim.

You had, in a nutshell, a shambles.

Meantime, back at the Vincent Apartments, the ones Hipkins told us were locked down with everyone in their room, it's turned into a comedy. The lobby looks decidedly like Waterloo Station at rush hour. No one is in their room.

In fact, the crime was we told Hipkins all this at seven o'clock Friday morning, at which point he clearly got on the phone only to find out none of what he said was happening, was.

The camera followed one resident walking out, through the lobby, walking down the street the wrong way to the wrong van, only to walk back up the street to the right van. If it was a comedy, no one would think it was real.

What haunts me about all this is clearly nothing has changed. All the border breaches, all the mistakes, all the misinformation, all the stuff they say is happening but isn't, is Deja Vu.

The index cases never tracked, the answers never found, the whole regime that’s never really quite up to scratch, and look at the price we are paying for this.

Events cancelled, millions of dollars lost, acrimony between lawyers, businesses and the Ministry, a Minister who clearly isn't joining dots, and all for what? One case.

This is the government nearly 50 percent of this country voted for. The government that failed on delivery for three years, and fresh out of the starting blocks of term two, hasn't changed a thing.

Is it too much to ask that, at some point, they might actually learn to do their job properly?

rdytdy took a break after the election to dust himself off after a crushing defeat. Appears no one was taking any notice of that dinosaur Muriel Newman.

Now he's back, cutting and pasting JC and Mike Hosking. This is the same Mike Hosking who has been wrong on just about every call he's made in 2020..

Ahh well rdytdy....another three years of frustration for you and Mike, as you struggle to come to terms with a changing world.
