Hydrogen peroxide Vapour Bioquell machines are been used to disinfect Rydges Hotel where people have been in Quarantine.

A quick Google research brings up a Scientific paper written for Singapore where those machines use Formalin.

Formalin can & does cause Respiratory system & other medical conditions including runny noses, coughing.

Pity the poor maintenance worker now confined for 14 days away from his family & friends bc he's likely to have a chemical exposure medical condition from Formalin.

A little common sense how the exposure to high doses of chemicals can cause medical conditions wouldn't go astray in NZ.

 Over use &  exposure to "disinfectant " is a likely cause of deaths in aged care facilities in Italy where they ramped up the use of disinfectant.

Any person who  uses chemicals in their jobs knows that there's adverse effects when exposed & used to them.

Letter to the Prime Minister

Dear Prime Minister,

You have well and truly blown it. There is now a palpable sense of anger in the country, particularly in Auckland. You might not be aware of it, living as you do in your own little global celebrity bubble, but the silent majority of people are well and truly over the game you are playing. They will no longer cooperate with rules solely designed to enable you to stay in the world headlines with BS articles about how you have saved the country and defeated the virus. Nothing could be further from the truth.

 

The reason we as a country have done so well is due more to good luck than good management on your part. The good luck is largely due to our geographical position, last cab off the rank before disappearing off the planet. Had you done your job properly we would be in a much better position now. It has become apparent the old adage can be applied to you – do as I say, not as I do. Your and your Ministers’ handling of COVID has been abysmal. The collective ineptness has been beyond belief.

To read articles about you in global left-wing rags is sickening. There’s about as much truth in them as we get at your 1pm electioneering stand up. The country, in terms of the people and the economy, have paid a high price so you can bask in fawning adulation from around the globe. Those articles only tell half the story. Yes, the numbers look good but that’s all that looks good. The rest is a tale of such bungling it is difficult to know where to start.

You are leading a Government of MPs the majority of whom have never done a proper day’s work in their lives, including yourself. I’m afraid wrapping fish and chips doesn’t count. The people you are in charge of are not in any way equipped to handle a situation of the sort we are in, and so it has proven. They are either academics or came through university, then went into some back room Parliamentary office working for an MP before becoming one themselves. Hardly a recipe for life in the real world.

The lies we have been told are never-ending. What has become notable is you and your cronies are never prepared to take the blame. Every time, you throw the officials under the bus. It doesn’t matter whether it’s lack of testing, lack of vaccine, lack of equipment, checkpoint chaos or whatever else, it’s never the Government’s fault. You don’t seem to have grasped the fact it’s all your fault. From civil servants to officials to Ministers, the buck stops with you. It’s your door that has Prime Minister written on it.

Today, Monday, the checkpoints are a shambles. Now you need more. Where are they? They’re on country roads in the back of beyond. How is that going to help? People are ropeable. Commercial vehicles are being held up for hours. One vehicle couldn’t get through that was carrying PPE gear for the Waikato. What do you think this is doing to not just Auckland’s economy but the flow-on effects to the rest of the country? Are you in any way cognizant of the fact that when you cause Auckland to sneeze it causes the rest of the country to catch a cold? Probably not. You might be trying to stop the spread of a health virus, but the economic virus you’re spreading is becoming rampant.

I know someone in Auckland who owns a lawn laying business. He has four contracts in Hamilton so he applied for and got a letter of dispensation. He set off on Monday and spent FOUR HOURS getting to the Bombay checkpoint only to be turned around. Why? Because another letter was evidently sent out negating the first one but he didn’t receive it. He is ropable. But this won’t be your fault of course. Some other poor cuss will be thrown under the bus. I’ve just heard on ZB that nobody at the checkpoints knows what the rules are! This must be at least number 101 of your clusters.

The only thing you’ve managed successfully is the only thing you are good at – spraying welfare around. We all agree the wage subsidy was necessary. Now though, through your incompetency, it has had to be extended. The rest of your COVID management has been nothing short of deplorable. Also, there is no plan to get us out of this mess. When Winston made the biggest blunder of his long political career by installing you, which hopefully he will pay for in October, those of us on the right had our reservations regarding your competency. We never imagined it would be this bad.

What a sorry soul you are now starting to look. You are doing your best to antagonise Aucklanders, the very people you need to win the election. They have shown what they think of you by leaving their houses in their thousands during the sunny weekend to get a well-needed dose of vitamin D. That is also a health issue, as is mental health. A writer on The BFD says he knows of four families who each lost a teenager to suicide, all in the last school holidays. One man knows four families, that’s four deaths in two weeks! How many more were there? Do you even care? I suggest mental health issues risk more deaths than COVID. No global adulation in that, though, is there.

The rest of the world might be under the misapprehension that you’re the greatest thing since sliced bread but many in this country know differently. In our lifetime, we would be hard pressed to remember a Government as shambolic as yours. You have achieved Sweet Fanny Adams, to put it politely, and the next Government, God help us if it’s yours, will have one hell of a job to get this country back on track. Three years of cluelessness is more than we can take.

For years Auckland has been warned to expect an earthquake. It might have just arrived – a political one much to your chagrin. A lot of the 1.7 million who live in this region are rightly spewing. Whether or not it’s just hot air will be seen on the night of October 17.   

Best of luck. I think you’re going to need it.

100 Days COVID-Free?

I hope Mr Hipkins doen’t tell me off, but some things about our ‘South Auckland family’ don’t add up. Is it alright to talk about it? After all, the repercussions are destroying the livelihoods of many of our Auckland friends and costing the country billions, so everything should be subject to scrutiny at this stage, don’t you think?

We learned on Tuesday 11 August, and the following days, that an unwell male, in his fifties, presented to his GP on Monday 10 August with symptoms and was swabbed for a COVID sample, testing positive twice. By the following day the sample had been notified and a second, also positive, sample taken and analysed. Not only that, but the six other family ‘household’ members who live with him had been tested, with three of the further six testing positive by mid-afternoon Tuesday. That’s, of itself, a minor-miracle turn-around time given results normally take 24 hours to materialise, but I suppose they were designated priority, or something, and by 4pm Tuesday the 11th the hammer began dropping on the entire population of unfortunate Auckland.

 

Mr Bloomfield, with hand on heart and all the certainty possible, claimed, in response to a press question on the 11th, that the gentleman concerned had displayed symptoms for “four or five days” before presenting at his GP. We now know that was not true: that is not to say Mr Bloomfield lied, but that the statement is simply untrue because during the COVID Update of August 13th both the prime minister and Mr Bloomfield confirmed that, in fact, the correct date of the gentleman’s first symptoms was July 31st. We never went ‘100-Days’ COVID-free.

So what? Well, here’s the interesting thing from the Alert Level 3 announcement on the 11th:

“Media: And what kind of symptoms are the cases showing? Are they quite severe symptoms?

Dr Ashley Bloomfield: So the person who presented as the first case did have fever, a cough—you know, so quite noticeable symptoms. The partner of that person also had obvious symptoms—in fact, that preceded that of the case that we diagnosed first“.

So: the partner of Index One was ill and displaying “obvious” COVID symptoms “preceding” our “first” documented resurgence case, taking the possible timeline further back, raising further questions and nullifying others. For instance: if ‘Index One’s’ partner actually contracted COVID first then Index One’s employment at the Americold coolstore is completely irrelevant, a totally unnecessary and unfair slur on the business, a Herring Red, and a very wet rag to the ‘came in on frozen peas from Melbourne’ governing coalition’s ‘Dunno how it got here’ conspiracy theory.

Over to you, Mr Hipkins but please: don’t get angry, remember to watch your peas and (Managed Isolation and Quarantine) queues, they’re splitting.

Mike Hosking: Election delay the right call but will hurt Jacinda Ardern's chances

 

It was, of course, the only call to make.

I have been astonished over the past week or so to hear at least two so-called political experts from universities arguing there was no need to delay the election. Frighteningly, these are the people who fill young minds with what, in this case, is almost party political broadcast material

The Prime Minister clearly wasn't overly keen on an extension either. But to seriously contemplate, as our political wonks at universities were, simply to carry on as though nothing had happened is to undermine the entire political process, not to mention tradition and simple fairness.

The Opposition hasn't even launched its campaign.

We look on at Belarus with questions. What do you think the world would make of a country where the Government's major party launched their campaign, then locked a solid chunk of the country down, made freedom of movement tricky for the rest of it, and had the official Opposition with no launch at all?

So a delay was a given.

I had, as you may have heard yesterday, predicted October 17 as the date.

I had that without having to ask the myriad of people the Prime Minister waded through.

Fairness was the simple guiding light. Given, once you'd decided you had to delay you could pick any date and if it was only dates you were weighing up in isolation, any date would do. So October 17 is the first Saturday past the school holidays. Easy

Now, does it help or hinder? The reluctance from the Prime Minister to move the date is because it hinders her, and she knows it. Every day beyond September 19 is a day the Government has to explain this current mess. The border breach, the lack of testing, the very reason we are here is because it has failed to deliver what it said it had.

Up until last week it made much of the 100 days Covid-free. It called this the Covid Election, there would be barely any policy because it had eliminated the virus.

Sadly, that whole platform is blown to bits. Another two weeks of the country's biggest economy locked down, the flow-on effects for the rest of the country, and a billion-dollar-plus bill from the diminishing pile of borrowed money. It is not a good look, and a world away from what it thought it was campaigning on.

It's good for National, which gets a launch, and a platform to argue alternatives. And it's good for New Zealand First, which gets time to save itself.

It was always going to be closer than many of the Labour acolytes thought. But now with another month, and yet more bungles to spin, the tide on a government that's messed it up and failed to deliver is going out.

Hey Jacinda & Ashley, Have you bothered to ask your Science Advisors why they are following up on other countries methodologies of targeting Coolstores & Quarantine places with ESR type testing?

Biggest load of bollocks & scamming world wide going on within the Science Academic world.

Those public funds, and yes they are public funds would be far better off put to solving real crimes.

Look up The NZ Genome Project report on MSD from 2009 which was started in NZ in 2001.

July Statistics for Births, Deaths & Marriages in Victoria, Australia show reported death rates are down by around 400 people...where Jacinda's epidemiologist expert Mike G Baker's bestie Tony Blakely is based & said in March/ April there would be over 30,000 people die of Coronavirus/ Covid19 in Australia.

Can we have an update in our daily Gospels from you Jacinda what our death rates are, and what each category they are in NZ?

 

Oh and a comparison of projected figures that were used back in March which caused the world to go into lockdowns with that of actual deaths & those tested positive for influenza. Yes that's influenza.

Cancer isn't contagious like Covid, so it's progress cannot be reduced or halted via measures as lockdowns. That's not even comparing apples with oranges, that's apples and beer.

"We all" don't need to do anything of the sort. Anyway, it was ruled "illegal" (for the first 9 days, but don't worry about letting details and facts get in the way of your spin) but "necessary", so nothing will come of anybody's "read". And the ruling only applies to New Zealand, not "worldwide". It's hard to get good help these days.....
