that is very fishy indeed!!!

In fact it would be downright deception played out on the Nz public... by both the Media and the police!!!

It would suggest complacency and downright disregard for the Gunlaws, Labour is trying to push!!  HYPOCRISY!!!

Lets hope Winston Peters gets to see this!!! and turns it into a shitstorm!! LOL

Ardern: Minus a Tooth and Wisdom Too

Our dearly beloved Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, will be taking a few days off after having a wisdom tooth removed. It caused me to reflect on my young neighbour who recently had four out but, with a two year old and no nanny, kept calm and carried on under some distress.

Jacinda apologised to journalists for going into more detail than they would have liked but she didn’t want to start speculation and told them she may not be in the Beehive on Monday. The detail we would really have liked to hear was that she had decided to not come back at all. She said she had issues with her wisdom teeth for three years. Yes, well we have had issues with you for over two years dearie so we know what it feels like.

Jacinda didn’t know what the cost would be, she hadn’t had the final quote. See, they operate in their private life just like they do in Government, just charge ahead without knowing what the final costs will be. Does this mean the taxpayer is footing the bill? She says she knows it will be reasonable. Oh yes, so it’s special treatment (if you’ll pardon the pun) for the PM is it?

She confirmed there was not, in fact, a special dental clinic for Prime Ministers in New Zealand. What’s the bet that will be next on her list of spending priorities. There’s something for the Taxpayers Union to keep an eye on. In a moment of humbleness she said she just goes to the dentist like everyone else. Every time she goes she reflects on the cost of it. Like everyone else, although she didn’t say that.

So this gallant woman who, in getting things done has been toothless from day one, will in reality be minus one. To exacerbate matters it’s a wisdom one.

Can she afford to lose it?

More trouble for NZF .

Who is the second conflicted minister?

Wednesday, 20 November 2019, 5:46 pm
Press Release: New Zealand National Party

Today’s extraordinary performance by David Parker and Jacinda Ardern in Parliament raises even more questions about NZ First’s links to a shady Provincial Growth Fund application, National’s Regional Development spokesperson Chris Bishop says.

“Yesterday in Question Time, Winston Peters talked about ‘both’ ministers declaring a conflict of interest in Future Forest Product Limited’s bid for $15 million of PGF funding.

“We know Shane Jones was one of them, but who was the other minister and why is the Prime Minister and the Associate Minister of Finance not providing straight answers?

“The Prime Minister was asked directly today ‘were there other ministers or under-secretaries who declared a conflict of interest in the matter being discussed?’ and she utterly failed to answer the question.

“Multiple questions still hang over the Future Forest Products Limited application. While Shane Jones declared a conflict in October after returning from holiday, why did it take him so long to do this when the application began in March?

“When was Mr Jones first aware of the application? What involvement did he have in the application while it was before the Provincial Development Unit?

Government’s Year of Delivery Delivers Privacy Breaches

This Government is overseeing data breach after data breach, and the latest breach involving the firearm buy-back programme is incredibly serious, National’s Police spokesperson Brett Hudson says.

“Police Minister Stuart Nash needs to take responsibility. His Government put the buy-back scheme together. It has failed to protect New Zealanders’ private and very sensitive information. It has failed to deliver a secure environment for personal data.

“New Zealanders will be rightly worried about where their sensitive information is, and who has it. Kiwis should be able to have confidence in the agencies holding their personal data. Even more concerning is that the data breached includes bank account numbers and details around the firearms owned.

“This isn’t the first time there has been a significant data breach under this Government, there was a breach at the Ministry of Culture and Heritage where information on children had been accessed; staff at NZTA were at risk of personal identity theft after a USB drive containing staff identity cards was lost; private details were stolen from the Commerce Commission; and even Treasury has been breached.

“How can New Zealanders have confidence in the firearms register the Government is proposing when they can’t even protect their personal details in their buy-back scheme? New Zealanders’ data is at risk and this shows we can’t go rushing into a firearms register. The Government’s track record on IST and data is simply not up to scratch.

“In this year of delivery, all Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and her Government can deliver are privacy breaches.”

Another one of cindys stars performing with as much class as the rest of them , corruption ?? , maybe , certainly looking after his mates . I like this bit,  "Bro, its moving. I can't put anything in writing.""    WHAT can't put anything in writing , that reads very badly .

Minister Kris Faafoi has apologised for promising to "speed things up" in an immigration case for Opshop singer Jason Kerrison.

FAAFOI'S MESSAGES TO KERRISON

"Hey bro - I will make a call on Monday. I know it is genuine as I know you travelled for the wedding a few years back. I will talk to the people that can speed things up.

"Yes - can you please send me surname and immagration nz file number.

"Bro i have a plan - but it can't be plastered over FB. Unfortunately this kind of thing can happen, so I am going to enlist the help of a MP up your way. If I deal with it directly I have a conflict of interest. A warning it is not a fast process. But I will need to give you a buzz. Is Matt King your local MP?

[three minute phone call]

"Whanau whanau brother

"I'm on it bri ...O

"Bro, its moving. I can't put anything in writing.

Scamming us again , trying to hide failure , here's the latest .

"" Up to 1000 emergency food bags will be delivered as part of the trial. It comes as more people are struggling to put food on the table, with almost 100,000 New Zealanders a month having to ask WINZ for more to eat.

Costing between $200-$300, the emergency food kit is intended to provide breakfast , lunch and dinner for a family for a week. ""

So what we have here is an attempt to hide the numbers of people who can't afford to feed themselves , if the food is delivered to their homes they won't be lining up outside the salvation army or winz .

What's becoming very clear is cindy and her lot have made things worse for the less well off , this is an attempt to disguise that fact and look at the cost , the trial alone , a quarter of a million and where will it finish , potentially a 100,000 food packs a month(delivered)  x $250  =  that's 25 million a month .

Just more proof this lot don't know what they are doing .

Faafoi’s Forgiveness a Fait Accompli

By GP

Further comments post Friday’s press conference on his ‘favour for a friend’ debacle will only see government minister (and former associate immigration minister) Kris Faafoi dig himself further into a hole. An apology including your own excuses is not wholehearted neither is it unconditional.

Jumping to your own defence is lame and weak (sadly straight out of this government’s playbook,) as is refusing to offer his resignation. Faafoi needs to find a backbone.

As a public servant the New Zealand public are the ones to decide if he ‘did the right thing’ as he insisted on telling us and if there is any defence for his actions. I, for one, have found none.

Faafoi seemed not to know that he immediately put on his ministerial hat when the talk with Jason Kerrison turned towards doing a favour for him. He should have shut it down by diplomatically refusing.  Not wanting to disappoint a friend during an ‘unguarded’ talk (Faafoi’s word) shows his cowardice, not kindness. He didn’t want to deal with the ramifications of a refusal, so led his friend on until the proverbial hit the fan.

Earlier on Friday the Prime Minister was opening an Auckland school and was no doubt irked to have to deal with further scandal from one of her incompetents. She dealt with it by sailing past the media smiling regally as she got into her car and ignored their pleas for comment. (Can you imagine the media wails if John Key had done that?)

Later that night on the TV news along with a replay of Faafoi’s defensive apology we also got an acceptance statement from the PM wrapping it up nicely and tying it tidily with a bow. This could be seen as a fait accompli if keeping your distance and taking no responsibility for your ministers is de rigueur for an effective leader.

A competent government led by a principled Prime Minister would have seen her take control and personally issue an apology for her errant minister’s actions and he would be gone. Faafoi’s actions in leading his friend on were morally reprehensible, even if he did not take action. The conflict of interest was clear and contravened the cabinet manual.

Opposition leader Simon Bridges informed us, post apology, he would stick to his sacking position, nicely reiterated earlier by Paul Goldsmith on The AM Show ‘I would be toast with the peanut butter being spread’. We only have Bridges’ word for that. However John Key did prove to be clinical dealing with most errant ministers, along with Helen Clark.

Ardern may see her actions as transformational but others just see her as weak and indecisive. Pragmatism helps inform her choices, with such a shallow talent pool. However she is becoming more adept at moving the goalposts, accepting lower standards and more importantly elevating herself further above the fray to avoid contamination from unpleasantness around her as we move to the end of her ‘Year of Delivery’.

Jacinda Ardern Powered by Eight Year Olds

The Prime Minister has announced the Government plans to phase out another round of single-use plastics including items like takeaway cups, fruit stickers, certain meat trays, takeaway food containers, plastic cotton buds, single-use plastic cutlery and who knows what else.

According to Stuffed:

"Ms Ardern has repeatedly said that the number one thing she receives letters about is reducing waste. “Many New Zealanders, including many children, write to me about plastic – concerned with its proliferation over the past decade and the mounting waste ending up in our oceans,” she said."

A cynic might suggest that given the standard of our education system and the levels of English taught (actually, make that NOT taught, because the language standards are nothing short of appalling), the likelihood that any child writing to the PM knows the meaning of “proliferation” is as high as the likelihood that she (the PM), will use our language correctly.

It would be understandable if children (and indeed adults) were writing to the PM about plastics if New Zealand were inundated by waste plastics all over the place. You know, rivers spewing out tonnes of it into our oceans, fences absolutely jam-packed with windblown plastic bags and cotton buds and our streets full of this single-use plastic everywhere. But never on any of my many travels around our country have I seen this huge problem. Even in the heart of the dungiest parts of our biggest cities, we do not appear to have a major plastic waste problem as in plastic blowing in the wind all over the place.

citarum-river-west-java-indonesia.jpg The Citarum River – West Java – Indonesia – The most polluted river in the world

It’s highly likely that the PM does indeed get heaps of letters from 8-year-olds. It’s highly unlikely that any of those children will, of their own accord, have single-use plastics at the forefront of their thinking. They have far more important issues to deal with at that age, so look for the adult influence behind the letter writing. Might it be possible that we would find their teacher there?

rivers_and_plastic_map.jpg

Instead of teaching them about the 10 most polluted rivers in the world and the most polluted countries in the world, they “inspire” the children to write to our PM expressing fears of the end of the planet and she, gem that she is, will change the world from the centre of the universe that is New Zealand – that tiny irrelevant pimple on the arse of the planet.

Yes, we do need to care for our environment and yes, we could do much better and we should. But with housing no better than it was during the “nine years of neglect” and no improvement in child poverdy and no other promises fulfilled – is that all we can hope for? A ban on cotton buds and plastics that really only damages our own economy?

Oh please, can this be made to end soon.

Same old same old , the failures keep on keeping on .

""For the first time in a decade, the annual number of elective surgeries performed in New Zealand has dropped.

Figures released by the Ministry of Health reveal there were almost 6000 fewer elective surgeries – procedures booked in advance as they are not an emergency – in the 2018/19 year compared to the same period the year before."

So Labour are spending more to achieve less. It’s the story of their Government.  The Government sat on this data for five months because it is so bad for them. The number of electives increased by 55,000 under National and is shrinking under Labour. ""

On a personal level , last year I  received a letter last year , " we know your situation is URGENT , you will see a specialist with in FOUR months ."" , I managed to be seen within 2 weeks (an event) anyway because of this some poor bastard got pushed back down the growing que .

Geez even the strongest supporter of cindy must be struggling to keep the faith , this is the worst government we have ever had , watch out for the coming money scramble , election year coming .

Mike Hosking: Kris Faafoi is yet another example of the Government's weakness

Kris Faafoi did what you would expect a Labour Minister to do, and the Prime Minister did what you would expect a Prime Minister of her experience and standards to do, nothing.

And that is this Government for you. If standards are important, if decency, honesty, openness, or transparency are important to you, this is not the government for you.

This is a sloppy, unprofessional tainted lacklustre government. And it's headed by a person, when it comes to matters of expectation and governance, who is a mile out of her depth.

To recap, last week it was revealed that Broadcasting Minister Kris Faafoi may have breached Cabinet rules by offering to help "speed up" a friend's immigration case.

Messages between Faafoi and close friend Opshop frontman Jason Kerrison appeared to show the Minister offered to get involved in an immigration case and said he would talk to "people who can speed things up".

This was in relation to Immigration New Zealand's decision to reject his Kerrison's step-father's application for residency. His mother, Jude Kerrison, married Gitonga "Mich" Obadiah, a Kenyan national, in 2017.

Obadiah's residency was rejected, as Immigration New Zealand questioned the legitimacy of their relationship. Then came the conversation between Kerrison and Faafoi on Facebook.

'Bro I have a plan': Kris Faafoi offered to help in friend's immigration case
Premium - Audrey Young: Kris Faafoi is in trouble but just how much?
Premium - Political Roundup: Should Kris Faafoi be sacked?

Faafoi has apologised for his Cabinet Manual breach. He's tried to explain what he was doing, he failed in his duty, and that he should have done things differently.

So in essence the accusation is accurate, it's just they're trying to wiggle their way out of the punishment. If there had been a mistake in reportage, if the facts were wrong, if he had a story that held up, or that represented something other than what we had heard Thursday night, he might have his reputation in tact.

As it turns out he doesn't, and I am sad about it. As I said last week, I know Faafoi from TV days, and like everyone else who knows him, I know he is liked. He is unquestionably talented, and he's been the sole shining light in that Labour Cabinet, having been justifiably promoted earlier this year.

Maybe that's the bit that saved him? Maybe the Prime Minister looked around the room, saw the old stalwarts such as Grant Robertson and David Parker, solid professionals quietly keeping their noses clean and getting on with the job, and then looked at the rest of them, and breathed out a sigh of knowing despair. They're a bunch of amateurs, so Faafoi gets saved because he's good in a room full of numpties.

But it still doesn't address the Cabinet Manual which has indisputably been breached.

And here's the thing that's damaging: The Cabinet Manual is open to a level of interpretation. Not by us, read it, it's black and white. But when it's breached or broken, what's to be done is the bit that's open to the leader of the day to interpret.

Maybe if Jacinda Ardern had never promised to be the most open, honest, and transparent government ever, this wouldn't be as bad. Maybe if Meka Whaitiri, Clare Curran, Iain Lees-Galloway, Shane Jones, or Phil Twyford had never happened it wouldn't seem so bad.

But they did, and they have. They seem to have no shame, their standards aren't standards at all. They're a grouping of amateur excuse makers, who hope you don't care, or you'll forget.

It's such a shame because good government leads from the top, it sets the agenda, the outlook, the expectation, and the standards.

The message we get from these indiscretions, broken promises, and breaches of rules, is anything goes. It's as loose as, and their greatest talent is gall.

Hey Thomarse , Hedley and cindy lovers  in general , there can't be many of you left ,  have a read .

Today, the Treasury released the Half Year Economic and Fiscal Update.

(1) Economic growth forecasts slashed. (2) Budget deficit forecast for 2020. (3) Broken their promise to run surpluses every year.

(4) Over $20 billion more in debt over the next 4 years , (5) Broken their promise to get debt under 20% of GDP by 2020.

(6) A further $15 billion increase in ‘off the balance sheet’ debt over the next 5 years.

And of course this ,

Figures released by the Ministry of Health reveal there were almost 6000 fewer elective surgeries – procedures booked in advance as they are not an emergency – in the 2018/19 year compared to the same period the year before.

So Labour are spending more to achieve less. It’s the story of their Government. They abolished health targets two years ago, and almost every indicator is getting worse – from vaccinations to emergency department waiting times to elective surgeries.

But it isn’t just elective surgeries. Since 2017:

Immunisation rates down from 92.2% to 90.1%

Cancer patients treated on time down from 93.2% to 87.6%

ED patients seen within six hours down from 93.1% to 90.0%

The Government has turned the strong growth and huge surpluses it inherited from National, into deficits, weak growth and more debt in just two years.

.

Don't forget she has also been awarded the quote of the year by some obscure group.

'''THEY ARE US''''

I wonder which of us they are?

The ones who were promised affordable homes,

the ones who were promised better mental illness care,

the homeless,

the ones who are subject to verbal and violent threats from their partners.

I bet that they are glad to be one of us.
