What they removed was this.

The Police and judiciary of Rotorua today announced that all children who've been victims of family violence in the local area have been removed from CYPs care and placed in the care of the Lion's.

When asked why Commisioner Pope said it made good sense, the children would be safe because the Lions don't beat anyone.

Only just. They did win a game against a scratch team of provincial players, but only just. And you could say they beat the Crusaders without actually scoring, And that wasn't really the English and Irish Lions (+two Scotsmen) if you include the French 16th man.
