To win-

The Anzacs need:

Rough Justice to win for Sharne

OR

a Camdus-Ability quinella in that order for Richie

Zig's Warriors need:

Duke of Brunswick to win for Wrinkles

OR

a Tashbeeh-Ruetiger quinella in that order for Steve

OR

2nd - 4 Duke of Brunswick Q-$13.70

scr: 10,12

subs: #7

Semi Finals

4 THE REDS 1368.40

1 THE HABIBIES 831.40

The Reds had it won before the last but finished in style with all bar Sarah on the final winner while Gordy doubled up with a BB. Pam, Brian and Graeme were the final scorers for the Habibies who depart the comp after a fine effort to make it this far. Lloyd took Man of the Match honours ahead of Sarah, each scoring 7 winners while Isaac edged Graeme for Habibies' MVP.

208.60 John

44.00 Pam

373.60 Lloyd

224.80 Isaac

185.00 Gordy

199.80 Brian

327.80 Sarah

212.60 Graeme

2 THE ANZAC ARMADILLOS 1394.60

3 THE PRETEND GERS 1476.40

A titanic struggle, both teams making a profit, went the way of the Pretend Gers after the Anzacs' hope Rough Justice faded to 4th. Only Mike missed the winning fave in the last with Ian snagging the quinella and Sharne, Cubes, Maria and Tom bagging BBs. Ian edged Tom for Pretend Gers MVP honours with the latter unlucky to draw Man of the Match PJ. Thanks to the Pretend Gers for a great match and good luck in the final - you will need it ! Thanks to the Anzac Armadillos for a great Winter Comp. We nearly did it !

268.80 Cubes

211.20 Kay

123.00 Viceroy

285.80 Casper

211.40 Sharne

258.60 Maria

531.20 PJ

352.80 Tom

260.20 Richie

390.40 Ian

Wooden Spoon Playoff Match 2

3 THE MONGOL STORMERS 965.80

2 ZIG'S WARRIORS 956.80

A great contest went the way of the Mongol Stormers after the Warriors' hope - Duke of Brunswick - could only run 2nd. Jack and Stormers MVP Betty scored their sides final dollars while Wrinkles finished with a bang bagging a sweet BB quinella in the last to collar Sarah however this was cancelled out by Jack nailing Steve P. It did secure Wrinkles Man of the Match honours which I hope will cheer him on his path back to full health. The Stormers win means they have secured the play-off series with Zig's Warriors being the recipients of the Winter Comp Wooden Spoon. Well played both teams who found their better form too late in the comp.

88.00 Rees

71.60 Craig

295.60 Betty

Fellow Zigmeisters,

Thanks for the ride. It still doesn't feel like we played badly enough to be the holders of the wooden spoon. A special mention of our most valuable player, Steve P, who invariably held things together when the rest of us were struggling.

A big thanks to Peter for his time in organising this competition.

Regards

tony

Dear Captain Ziggy 09 , Steve P , Tony and Craig ,

Without a shadow of a doubt.  It has been my pleasure to be a part of the  Zig's Warriors Team in PJ's Winter World International Trans - Tasman Super Tipping Competition. I've played with some good players but this team is an exciting team and as i said , a pleasure to be a part of.
My room was full of Family , Friends and Medical  Staff for the last  Flemington   Race.  We all had a good win on the actual race result. It would have been more profitable if Damien had got a run earlier on Duke of  Brunswick  :).
PJ , you must be so proud  how well your competition's  are received  Inter Nationally. Well done champ !  I hope you find your own Group (1) One Winning Filly / Mare soon and enjoy all the fun that goe's with that.
Maria, i wish you well in the final. I know how wonderful it would be for you and your Team to be the  2017  PJ's Winter World International Trans - Tasman Super Tipping Competition Champion's. Young lady , sincere good luck with your Grand Final Game next  Saturday :). I hope and trust   their are no French Thorough Bred  Racing Judges working on the Day at the various  PJ's Tipping Competition  Race Tracks :).
Catch you all on a Race Track one day  real soon :).
Folks , God Bless you all.

In the next:

Gers are cheering for Francis Drake and Windy Height; while

Reds would be happy with Nina Arora, Rough Cut, Saffron Lady or Stokers Rock

Reds with three best bets in this race to the Gers' one.
