Why would anyone pay for tips when they are available for free?  Today's bet of the day got rolled at $1.70.  New Zealand racing desperately needs a good website that doesn't have every story that might be worth reading being locked up unless you want to signup and pay.  Just look at Racenet and Racing And Sports.  Heaps to read, more tips than you can poke a stick at and they're much better than Stu's and Aidan's tips.  All for free.  No New Zealand websites come close and they're still trying to get you to pay to look at them.

Difference is Racenet is covered in corporate bookmakers, when was the last time you saw the TAB NZ throw anything at a domestic site... it's not hard to figure out how leakage can happen..

You raise a good point. TAB, NZTR etc all seem to have this corporate attitude of just paying their chosen employees to try to do everything. I'd like to see NZRB as just a distributor of funds specialising in organising, monitoring and encouraging outside contractors. NZ is well served with racing information websites it just takes each individual to organize their favourites into an efficient information utility.  Those that complain about lack of online information are usually too lazy to search for the sites.

Bimbo ,have you ever looked at some of the tips Tiger Multi has given out and the great prices ,the subscription was cheap enough .I work hard and long hours so to pay somebody who does the study and was successful to me was a no brainer

Looked at it a few times.  Always appeared to have an odds on runner as the tip of the day.  Yesterday they tipped a $1,70 shot (not a bad tip, as it closed at $1.30) and it got rolled.  Today they have another $1.70 tip up on their site.  Trevor Wilkes has heaps of these all week for free and you get a bonus as you know exactly every little detail of how it is going when you listen to the commentary as he will virtually ignore every runner in the field when calling the race.

Life is too short short mate.  Try to spend less time working and a bit of time studying fields, making your own markets and betting to your own prices.  It's more fun that way.

The whole TAB thing works around employing people to give out every possible reason they can think of why you should be piling in on a horse or dog that has a 33% chance while it's paying $2.80 on Final Field with them.

What are some of these great websites (apart from this one, which is quite good)?

OUR BET OF THE DAY

Auckland, race 11: Donegal Davy Boyd ($1.70*)

Is what it says on the site today.

Four single tips would be good.  I really have no interest in quinellas, trifectas and first fours.  Hope you find another good tipping site after they shut down.

They missed last night.  Today the bet of the day is:

Hastings, race 5: Asama Blue ($2.30*)

I would rather have a small bet on Hunta Pence at $12 with Ubet instead and if Masu drifts out to somewhere near $6, I would have a bit on that.  $4.20 a little bit short even if Hayden was riding it.

Asama Blue does have not being picked as a TFC Best Bet or a JJ Top 6 going for it.
