Nobody goes to Ellerslie 19 days out of 20, the track surface is not up to it for 90% of the year( including just this weekend) and the property is worth billions of dollars which would be better off invested elsewhere in the industry. They would probably have turned over $50k oncourse at Wyndham today - on a per capita basis Auckland would need to have turned over $40m or so oncourse yesterday. I would have thought it sanity?
