Black Kirrama 1,477 Report post Posted February 6, 2017 Here's a link for you Tinkerbelle. http://www.longspring.co.nz/page/6/stallions Colombia's best son the group One winning ADDICTIVE HABIT is being patched up again and Lee is hopeful that he can reappear for further racing and a return to Brisbane. We are hopeful !! No risks will be taken, with him. He looked like a Brahma Bull in October and has had a careful very thorough preparation. Good luck Tinker if you send a mare to him. Tinkerbelle 79 Report post Posted February 6, 2017 Thanks BK - your boy is a champ for sure and all the best for another campaign . I've also now heard that Colombia may have died recently but that doesn't show up as dec on NZTR so contacting the stud seems the way to go, thanks Aaron
Aaron Bidlake 759 Report post Posted February 6, 2017 Oh ok, knew someone who was sending a mare to him last season so thought he must have still been around.
sharne 240 Report post Posted February 7, 2017 i think you will find he passed away today that's the message from longspring stud
bazach 133 Report post Posted February 7, 2017 Could have had a better record at stud if he had gone to a well known stud and had better mares. Top bloodlines of course being by Zabeel out of Eight Carat, therefore a full brother to Octagonal, three quarter to Don Eduardo, Kaapsted etc etc. He managed to sire 10 stakes winners from just over 200 to race, a pretty good effort considering the quality of mares he served. More disappointing at stud was Don Eduardo. Black Kirrama
.... 226 Report post Posted February 7, 2017 Did a really solid job considering he did it the tough way, just under 50% runners to winners and just under 5% Stakes winners to runners. Good tough genuine horses, similar type stats to Zed who was only a maiden winner and Colombia was Unraced so similar profiles. Tinkerbelle 79 Report post Posted February 7, 2017 Yes that's one of the things that interests me Bruce. I'm a big fan of Zed and had a friend who was interested in Colombia. Sad news indeed.
