The dogs a one track specialist. You take him away from addington and he gets knocked around a bit and you risk him losing a bit of confidence
Joe blogs 202 Report post Posted November 29, 2016 what makes you say that he is a one track specialist , might have something to do with how long it would take to get to picton.

You take him away from addington and he gets knocked around a bit and you risk him losing a bit of confidence That's a very strange answer, its a group2 event, Knocked around over the sprint that's a bit strange, lol, one track specialist how can you say that as he hasn't raced away from the track, he is good enough to win at any short course two turn track I would say. Not viable, the dog just wins. Come on big fella race him around the country in the big sprints you wont get an easier chance to win everything in sprints again I would say. mmmyb 277 Report post Posted December 1, 2016 And who pays for the transportation costs Warren. 50/50 animal. 2x interislander trips Away for 2 days at a minimum so have to employ someone to keep the kennels operating. I'd say a $2500 series Wins and he covers costs and a little in bank. Runs 2nd a nose and trainer losing money. 2x addington wins $1440 to winner. Sounds a bit less risky to me. If owners willing to pay for transport cost sure. Give it a go.remember 50/50 is a training agreement. You want the dog travelled when not financially viable. Step up and pay the way Thats my thoughts anyway jasonmccook1

Joe blogs 202 Report post Posted December 1, 2016 lots of trainers do that yes but you also now have to travel further about two hours each way I'm not sure what the stake money is in the race I'm thinking 14 k 2500 for unplanned runners at 500 4th 5th 6th 7th and 8th and 6900 if you win so you pay 50% for owner and trainer 3450 for the trainer if you win it would cost sayou 900 return trip so don't leave to much dose it is not sure if i have the right stake money and there will also be a breeders bonus as well so maybe less than that

One track specialist.. nope . Think he just needs a look to work things out. Well Done to Floyd, Calum, May and the connections of the best sprinter in the country. Jape 344 Report post Posted March 6, 2017 A stunning victory and put paid to the "only Addington" issue A better trip up, knowledge of the track, kept nice and fresh (how keen he looked). Then he flew out, handled the last bend well enough, no concerns, game over. Congratulations to Calum and the team. jasonmccook1, uddes, come on ref and 1 other
