I see that NZTR hasn't published on their website since 2 September the News Bulletins that contain the YTD tote results.  Do some of you still receive them in emails?

There's an awful lot of red ink there !!!

Can I presume we should call the medics urgently and get those bleeding arteries ligated before we go into shock and die !!!

I think that must be because the printer is low on blue ink and in their efforts to balance the budget a bit better this year they are deferring replacing the ink cartridge.

Yes, that's one of their strategies for increasing revenue. The correlation is difficult to determine.

Rebates paid at up to 12% up shit loads as they try to remain competitive on the global stage, travel costs up hugely as they send staff in threes all over the world trying in vain to attract more high rollers and to incentivise their existing VIPs, bottom line down though because the Internet based agencies who travel light can offer better rebates........the end is looming..... even when they get comingling back this week the global whales are looking elsewhere to enter the comingled pools.....it's nearly time and you've all known it's coming so now bend over and take your medicine.....

Ah, but..

NZRB Racing turnover up $13m, Imported up $15m....Sports up nearly $4m...Total NZRB up $17m...

It's all good...isn't it......? Must be bonus time......

Probably as they measure themselves on turnover not net revenue.  Pity they don't increase staff turnover.
