Her sire Myboycharlie has had a 59 race starters at 2600m+ for 1 win. The dam is by General Nediym - I'm no expert at breeding, but it's hard to make an argument for her over 3200m based on that.

Maybe Zelda, you can be a bit braver and call it a first 5 finish? :P

What is interesting Catalano is that Damien Oliver declared her an Oaks filly after one 2yo track gallop:

JAMEKA’S dominant win in today’s Group 1 $1 million Crown Oaks was momentous for Damien Oliver in more ways than one.

Oliver identified Jameka, a daughter of Myboycharlie from the General Nediym mare Mine Game, as an Oaks filly after riding her one day in track work at Caulfield when she was a two-year-old. Although her breeding suggested otherwise, Oliver was taken by the filly’s relaxed disposition and her lovely, long-striding action.

She won the Oaks (2600m) easily after leading, then sitting outside the leader and going to the front turning in and winning by over two lengths on the heavy track.

Will be interesting to see if she can get another 600m. The ability to relax certainly helps.

Easiest oaks winner you will ever see horse and rider superb on the day and good  this prep how can you fault her? Clear pick in Caulfield but nothing beats a healthy Hartnell this year

Hartnell is a WFA horse now isn't he, they wouldn't diminish his value by running him in a handicap, even though he is a gelding.

As for Jameka, genes are a wonderful thing when recombined, she doesn't know who her father and mother are or were, what they could and couldn't do, and for what it's worth Michael Phelps brother drowned in the bath.

Where will this run take place old mate?

Maybe two. One for the eastern suburbs boys(scary). And another for us more robust people out west.

It sure would be a sight for very sore eyes. Maybe Fox Sport may pick it up. Might be a buck(spelling) in it for you :);)

Thank you. I didn't know that :o

That will obviously be why Te Aroha has had an upgrade in status from Supporting to Significant. :)

better start training Zelda :D

Bourke St runs right to left downhill if you are facing north, Zelda is trying to defy gravity, her front end should hold her upright, although the gluteus maximus might sway things the other way.
