Shame for the young fella riding Our King Sway ...first race win but clearly gonna be tipped out for cleaning up the favourite Platinum Command earlier in the run home. Platinum Command storms home once balanced up wider out ...one of them there certainty beats that confirms for me why I would never consider being a professional punter.

Dont agree, elliots ride was cold, two apprentices in the enquiry room, will boil down to the best argument.King sway produced a run earlier so platinum taking ground off it not defining.Elliot goes sooner we dont have an argument. This game is defined by a jockeys actions and a little bit of movement shouldnt be defining factor

Have to agree to disagree Gruffy ! Side-on ya don't really know but head-on was conclusive in my book. It wasn't a matter of gaps and who was first to it, Platinum Command had a straight run at the finish line and Our King Sway simply came across, no beg pardons, and stopped Platinum Command in its tracks. Platinum Command ended up about 6 horse-lengths wider out to make its run and finally balanced the race was over. Only surprise for me was the enquiry taking so long.

A straight run to finish line? These horses dont run in lanes brother, the fact it held up the start in the next race showed the decision was not an easy one and rightly so. Where can we view the proceedings?

Not sure where we can view the proceedings Gruffy but yep if ya steamin' along with nothing straight in front of ya then ya don't expect ya legs to be taken out from under ya. If that is something that ya should in fact expect then those big punters placing their tens of thousands of dollars on Winx each start should be nervous. Very nervous.

It just gets worse Howie !!!

Starting to wish I'd gone a little wider in some of my later race selections, PJ ! :)

I remember in the early days of your comps PJ that Punter Pete was a particularly valued team-mate of Geoff and I in the Butcher Boys team, he won many matches for us on his own using the same sort of tipping acumen that he's showing today.

You rest now, Punter Pete. I'll let you know when we need you to fire up again. You just wait by the phone. :D:D

Good one, Brian ! :)

36-1 shot winners are very handy at this stage of the day.

That will put us in front of the Turbos, with one race to go, and with a Team Profit to boot.

But can we hang on ! Only Sir G in his pursuit of Geoff can save the day for the Turbos, BB on 'Aloft'. Time I  had a decent punt on 'Aloft' :).

A win for Sir G's 'Bold Sniper' will also give the Turbos the win they desperately need !

I better have a look in the piggy bank to see if I can throw something 'Bold Sniper's' way as well.

It's an expensive business trying to blunt Sir G's enthusiasm ! :D
