Right first time 1,900 Report post Posted August 10, 2016 BRONCOS name strong lineup for Grand Final Yes, the Broncos lineup for the Grand Final match was named at lunchtime today, and worryingly for the rival Thunderbirds is the strongest possible combination :- BETTY 46 race wins @ 30.9% has won 11 matches out of 15 ... $ 5136 @ avge $342 per match biggest individual race collect = $1322 The vital "go to" member of the Broncos team, pulling us out of the mire on more than one occasion. Is number 1 on PJ's "Magnificent Seven" list, with daylight second. Looks the best of good things to put the Broncos 1-0 up. NEKKY 47 race wins @ 31.5% has won 8 matches out of 15 ... $ 3233 @ avge $215 per match biggest individual race collect = $438 A vital cog in the Broncos machine, pulling off some excellent results as the competition has progressed. Sure to impress again in the big Final. GEOFF 53 race wins @ 35.6% has won 10 matches out of 15 ... $ 3301 @ avge $220 per match biggest individual race collect = $ 170 Ever-consistent top performer for the Broncos, has won more races than any of his team-mates, and has a penchant for nailing his Best Bets. Confidently exoected to go another big, big race. Be on ! GORDY 43 race wins .@ 28.9% has won 7 matches out of 15 ... $3484 @ avge $232 per match biggest individual race collect = $ 350 The further the competition has gone the better Gordy has got ! Some outstanding results particularly in recent weeks, and will be a major player in the Grand Final. Has enjoyed good success labelling Race 1 as his Best Bet NZ race, which he does most weeks. On the rise, and looks a good bet. ROB 43 race wins @ 28.9% has won 9 matches out of 15 ... $3258 @ avge $217 per match biggest individual race collect = $ 264 Proven Group 1 Performer who eased his way quietly into the Comp through the early rounds before charging. Has sustained a purple patch of great form in recent weeks. Worryingly for the Thunderbirds the famed Rob "wuffies" have started to roll home again. Will be right in the thick of things in the Grand Final, a top each-way bet. HOWIE 52 race wins @ 34.9% has won 10 matches out of 15 ... $ 3942 @ avge $262 per match biggest individual race collect = $ 390 has enjoyed good success this campaign, and will be looking for more of the same in the Grand Final. Has to be rated a strong chance. So there it is ...the Broncos lineup ....primed, and ready to run. Looking forward to the big match on Saturday, and a good win against the well-performed Thunderbirds. Let's go ! Catalano 951 Report post Posted August 11, 2016 I'm in Sydney airport, trying to do form on a mobile and hoping that work will pay for the roaming i wont get another chance to post before the start of play, but I'm happy with this lot 1 3 6 1 5 3 5 3 1 7 5 11 bb 9 15 8 1 5 4 2 4 7 11 15 12 bb 5 2 1 5 15 8 thanks team, I feel I haven't contributed as much as I'd like through the comp. This winter has been particularly diificult for some reason. The thunderbirds are a solid bunch, and we seem to click when required to cover each other - that's why we're in the finals, and maybe there was some madness in Cubes selection method after all Go well guys and good luck to the Broncos. Right first time 1,900 Report post Posted August 12, 2016 BRONCOS - late-breaking news ! Well that's nice, he says, tongue firmly in cheek, player let's down team-mates and withdraws right before the Grand Final (whether it was today or five days ago or whatever is incidental to me) . Very disappointing. As spokesperson/representative Brian please feel free to pass on my sentiments. No, at the 11th hour we're not scratching around for subs and hoping that they're acquainted with rules, requirements, etc ...I'll post a set of selections in the name of the departed Betty an hour before kick-off tomorrow. Hopefully Cubesmeister and his Thunderbirds team-mates are ok with that in what is essentially a fun competition with nothing at stake - I'm not as good as Betty anyway, so I'm not foreseeing there being a problem. Alternatively we'll run with five and hope for the best. As you can no doubt detect I'm considerably less than impressed - with a night's sleep I'll no doubt be in a better mood tomorrow and be back with a smile on my face ready to have the backs of my team-mates and primed ready to run. Don't write off the Broncos just yet. We can still do it. We'll be there, we've got too much personal integrity not to be there. Let's go ! Lloyd Vivian 742 Report post Posted August 12, 2016 Personally, I was stoked gutted to see Betty unable to make the field after 2nd acceptances... However, I'm sure it has only fired the team up so I'm prepared for the worst!! Anyway, after much consideration and throwing of tea leaves etc etc I am completely certain, moderately positive slightly hopeful that I have arrived at the combinations needed to tame whatever Bronco fronts up in the morning. : R1: 3,6 [4] R2: 6,7 [1] R3: 6,7 [5] R4: 5,6 [8] R5: 9,11 [15] B/B R6: 1,9 [5] R7: 2,13 [7] B/B R8: 11,12 [15] R9: 3,7 [2] R10: 6,15 [8] Team Thunderbirds - let's show 'em what we're really made of!! All the best - it's been a great comp and I've enjoyed it heaps. I think we've punched well above our perceived weight and to end up in the Final is a huge achievement!! To the Broncos - worthy opponents indeed! May you enjoy the battle tomorrow..but not necessarily the result!!
