Blue 1,095 Report post Posted May 11, 2017 Gubes, you mentioned the Habitat x La Mer horse. The early days of Windsor Park /Terry Came stood Habitation, by Habitat, but he never fired a shot. Black Kirrama

gubellini 3,995 Report post Posted May 11, 2017 Blue Isle Of Man was the only Group One winner sired by Habitation. He sired five other Stake winners namely Rushcutter, Hayley's Hope, Flying Habit, Settler and Full House.

Habitation was humanely detroyed many years before a young Rodney Schick was a glimmer in Nelson's eye. I seem to recall he bit a finger off one of the grooms and had a very nasty nature. Then along came Star Way the horse with the amazing nature and compact stature and Windsor Park took off. Silver Dream helped too. elbow and gubellini
crustyngrizzly 1,700 Report post Posted May 12, 2017 BEN LOMOND and MANNIX both good horses no so sure about stallions. I believe Mannix was sold to Japan and the only winner i can think of that he left in NZ was Count Mannix. I seem to recall a reasonable horse by Ben Lomond but can't think of its name.Tarbolton springs to mind but i think he may have been Ben Lomonds full brother.
