Winter Trans-Tasman Super Comp Results Thread

Recommended Posts

Well done fellow Broncos team-mates Betty, Gordy, Geoff, Nekky and Rob. We've certainly enjoyed a "purple patch' of good form the past 5 weeks, with  23 wins from our 30 match-ups within that time. Long may our golden run continue ! :) This was a tough match for us this Saturday/Monday up against the talent-laden 'Panthers' team, and we are very pleased to have gotten out of this one intact. This was a real team effort again for us Broncos with everyone contributing to ensure a team profit. A strong effort from Richard and his Panthers, good luck to you for the rest of the comp and I'm sure you'll be right there in the closing stages. There's a long way to go yet !

Thanks PJ.

Lloyd, it felt like a real banality performance due i suppose to  the two day bad weather  lay over.  Your Thunderbirds put in a good team effort. Well done !    I trust you had plenty of luck with your fishing endeavours.

Ohh Dear it looks as if  i'm gonna be on the receiving end of a turbo fired HEAT seeking missile name of CHESTNUT after fizzing drastically

to the albeit blunt scythe of Mr Von Smallhausen and we both got our beloved track TRENTHAM commonly known as The Punter's Grave Yard

where The Grim Reapers might shine on a bleak cold wet Day ...lol    But all good things must come to an end but NOT for The Broncos just yet !!

Cheers and i know you be studying hard to interrupt my progress Maria ...!! BRING IT ON !! ;)

You'd never be in my team Wrinkles (even if current form suggests that's not a bad thing).

You're too bloody nice!.

Hey Ray you did say to take it easy through the 1st round....maybe a bit OTT by some of us you think?? B)

As John has kindly pointed out, from Sunliners to Flatliners... :o

It's all good Steve. I think our home run hitters will relish the nice big fields at Eagle Farm this weekend.  Having said that, I expect my opponent Mr Gee will be swinging for the fences as well. He's notorious for finishing games early so I need to stay within striking distance when we head for Oz. I have a couple of Group one grenades waiting for him.  ;)

cheers

Cheers Wrinkles... I thought I had you there for a while but you blitzed me in one fell swoop! :) Wasn't actually fishing this weekend, [ was away at a Church Conference actually], but got a month or so at home now being domestic and mowing my lawns etc etc!! Next time away will be a few days away with the kids skiing in mid-July.. :)

Hi  rayzor_ ,

I'm most happy with my lot.  I have always thought what makes you feel good, perform well in business and win the occasional  tipping  competition. Makes each new day more interesting :).  rayor_, if you cannot trust yourself, who can you trust :). I must admit it is good to be a member of a positive team such as the Renegades ;). rayor_ , trust you  find a decent winner  this weekend :).

Champ, good luck.

Hi Lloyd,

Apologies for the late reply.

Have a great time skiing with the family. We lost nineteen local road bridges here in the last three days of  the recent floods and storms. Plenty of homesteads and quality beef and dairy properties  lost under water. The local community lost a wonderful elderly man. His loss, makes you think about things. With all this water on our East Coast. You can just imagine what sort of Winter some local folks are in for. Wonder how PJ's Hunter  Horse Region fared in the  storms. Lloyd, good luck for the remainder of PJ's  tipping competition.

It never ceased to amaze me that Wrinkles was left so long toward the end of the draft picks. Maybe nice isn't the "in" thing, but he fits in quite nicely in our team and is cruising along most admirably, With Sarah also proving to be Mrs Consistent and showing us "boys" a thing or two ,the remainder of us provide cameo appearances to augment our position on the table.  I suspect a shift in fortunes this weekend, .

GO The MIGHTY RENEGADES

Cheers Wrinkles - sorry to hear about the flood damage in your area and the sad loss of life. Tough times indeed. All the best to you for the Comp also. You've got a good man at the helm!
