Summer/Autumn Trans-Tasman Super Comp Finals Grand Finals Day Sat Apr 16 entries here

GRAND FINALS  -  Saturday April 16

Well here we are - Grand Finals Day at last. Full credit to the Magpies and Kauri Kats for battling their way through the Round Robin series where they finished 2nd and 4th respectively and then disposing of their opposition on their way to the GF - top effort !

The Ferdies who narrowly missed out on a Championship Finals series berth will face off against the comps biggest improvers in the Barbarians for Presidents Final honours.

A couple of enthralling clashes with much pride and prestige at stake. The races chosen this week reflect all the usual challenges of autumn racing across 3 venues with the 10th and final race of the day a real head-scratcher.

here we go and may the best teams win !

All the best today to the Grand Finalists Kauri Kats and Magpies.

You two teams got to the top because you are best two teams, you won the matches that counted, and today you match off to see who is the CHAMPION summer/autumn team for 2016. I hope that all 10 participants find many winners to make it a memorable contest.  Good luck to you all.

If I was to take a punt on which team will come out on top - well - earlier in the comp my team Mighty Blues had a narrow win over the Magpies, a loss to the Kauri Kats - so on that basis I'd go for the Kauri Kats by a smidgeon. John and Hesi well know that when I label a team it is inevitably the kiss-of-death for that team, so sorry about that Kauri Kats.

Good luck also to the Ferdies and the Barbarians playing off in their Final. Go well you good things.
